Do you think I should wait for the new upcoming iPhone 11 this Year or the Xs is worth the buy today? I will be using the phone for filmmaking and video editing. I would like to know what you think.
PHProud Hey, it’s pretty amazing what 1 yr of technology development makes, I have compared the X to Xs and the Xs is visibly better. What phone are you using to make films atm? Phones are awesome at videos now days (not sure if you have a camera or not) but I would suggest investing in a more pro camera and lenses to learn and get better at making films as they are very different.
Question for you... how often in this video and then, in general, did you record using the telephoto lens? I’m in between the XS and X-RAY because of the lens/battery/price value of the two for video. I was wondering if you found yourself using the telephoto often or not that much.... also, curious in general to get your thoughts on the two.
Matthew John Armstrong Hey! I don’t really use telephoto lens for videos, I usually use wide angle lens for landscapes video cause I want to show more of the environment I am in. But it all depends on what your style is and what you want to film, there is no right or wrong answer. This video was purely filmed on my iPhone XS with no lens attachments. I haven’t tried the iPhone XR so I am not sure how much difference there is between the two phone cameras. But I have compared the X with XS, and its definitely a huge improvement.
