Great video. I visited Grand Teton in 2007. We were lucky enough to see Grizzly 399 and her three Cubs. We were only 50 yards away and it was exhilarating. I am blessed to have been so close but it was a highlight to my life. I’ll never forget it.
That's so cool that you got to see all that wildlife! And the views there, fantastic! I don't know how long you will be traveling or if you're home already but if you come to visit Zion National Park in Southern Utah and want to spend time with a local photographer I can sure make time for you. :) Keep up with the great work inspiring people!
Lovely!! I was there from Sep 26th to Oct 30th and was lucky with no smoke and great weather and fall foliage. Got great sunrise/sunsets and great pictures. But the highlight for us were the hikes. Cascade Canyon and Delta Lake hikes were incredible. Hope to go back again.
nicely done Nicole, enjoyed joining you on the journey and you photography and videography tips. Maybe I need to leave the Pacific Ocean once in awhile, I haven't been there in many years.
I was there at the end of September, too. Had planned for an epic photography trip, and all my landscape and night photography plans were killed by the wildfires, but still got great animal pictures with the same Sigma lens you bought.
The Tetons are a wonderful place...glad I had the foresight to visit many places, this one included, back in the late 80's. I would be the only person around for miles. I would probably be very irritated at the sight of crowds gathering there, now!
@@NicoleGlass Yes, as most any place was back then. All of these hidden gems have been exposed today though, through word of mouth and or social media. Not exactly a bad thing, just have to be more strategic in when you visit them. I enjoy your content and thanks for sharing!
Went to Yellowstone and the Tetons last year in October - it truly is very beautiful. I dislike how busy it was and I even went late in the season, and some parts of the park were closed due to heavy snow but the snow during some times of the trip was very magical.
I found Yellowstone to be a lot busier than the Tetons. All the lodges in the Tetons were closed due to COVID, so that probably made the crowds a little lighter...
Absolutely wonderful. I feel suitably jealous especially since I have a Sigma 150-600 and d500 and can see what would have been possible if I could ever get there. Of your other videos I have seen this is the one in which clearly seem to be enjoying yourself more than any other. Really good to see. Best Wishes.
Thanks Bruce! Well, you have amazing landscapes up in Canada too! I went to Glacier National Park afterwards and I was wishing I could cross over to the Canadian side but unfortunately I couldn't
@@NicoleGlass Glacier NP is awesome, Road to the Sun is a favorite. I was in the Rockies, Alberta, BC and Sask for a month this year with my trailer. Heading back next year, will aim for the Yukon as well. @bruce_r_colman
I see that you took clothes with you this time. Nice tights ;) It's nice when someone captivates you so much with their story that it is almost heartbreaking when it ends. In the end, you got this bear to pose for you perfectly in line with your foreground. Good job! 8:10
Thank you sharing this video! I am heading there in June and your video, which is fantastic, is really making want to go now! Your photos were beautiful!
@@NicoleGlass Nicole, your editing work is amazing, you should make travel films.. As far as going to Alaska, you would enjoy taking the glass roof train to Denali park, far less people, or rent an RV and go. Email me for details. We are beginning our new feature film right now, have some winter scenes coming up (burrrr), so back in the saddle for me.. All the best and looking fwd to seeing your Grizz episode.. Awesome footage Nicole! Thank you for your hard work and sharing it with the world. Do you think middle September is good idea to see Fall colors there? I’m planning to head out around mid or late September.
Yes, the Snake River Overlook. The view is not the same as it was in 1942 because overgrown trees cover most of the river from that vantage point now. But there's still a nice view of the Tetons.
With all those people, I would go somewhere else for a better chance of getting my on shot. If that was not practical, I would still put my camera somewhere that is not shoulder height.
It was less crowded than usual since all of the lodges were closed due to COVID. But yes, in general a lot of the nature spots in the US have a lot of visitors right now... and cities are relatively empty.

You were very lucky to see bears! I’m glad you had a (mostly) positive experience and shared it with us.
Thank you!! Yes I actually posted a video right after this one where I told the story of my grizzly bear encounters. A memorable trip for sure:)

This place remind me always at Ansel Adams and his great photographs! Very beautiful video and pictures! Greetings from Switzerland!
Thank you! Switzerland is beautiful too (I lived there for one year when I was 11 ☺️)
Thanks for sharing your mesmerizing pictures and good photo spots. 👍👍
My pleasure 😊

Great video and stunning images; thank you Nicole. What a beautiful and glorious place. Absolutely epic. Wow!
Thanks so much! I'm still thinking about this place every day... :) Hope you get the chance to go!
What an amazing adventure!! Definitely on my bucket list. Thank you for this amazing video!!! ♥
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope you get a chance to go, it’s probably my second favorite place in the world
So peaceful ❤️
It really was! 🙂🙏

You went one week after me :) Much better timing on your part... But I guess we couldn't predict the smoke. Hope you enjoyed the trip!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing!
A beautiful and inspiring film Nicole. I'm really glad you are diving so deep into nature and wildlife. Looking forward to seeing the grizzly :-).
Thank you Andrew! 4 grizzlies actually. Lol. But one of them was REALLY close
@@NicoleGlass exciting, perhaps a bit too exciting :-). But these encounters make one feel truly alive.
I was there 9/13-15 and it looks like the same time I was there. Going back in 3 weeks and then again in September. Doing 11-12 days each time.
nicely done Nicole, enjoyed joining you on the journey and you photography and videography tips. Maybe I need to leave the Pacific Ocean once in awhile, I haven't been there in many years.
Great stuff here Nicole....I've only visited there once, but this made me want to jump in my car and head east. Thanks for the video.....
If you get the chance, definitely take it :) Right now it's all covered in snow and very beautiful.
beautiful video place n photography !!!!!! GOD BLESS !!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much Juan! :)
Amazing videos of the park, thank you
Glad you enjoyed this:)))

Awesome! Maybe we were in the same places at the same time. The fire smoke was depressing. Did you see the grizzly eating the elk in Yellowstone?
Just beautiful.

I would love to see this area, when we can travel again from Canada. Thanks for sharing!
And I would love to explore Canada too! Hope we get the chance to travel freely again soon. ♥
Beautiful images and timelapses :)

Awesome footage Nicole! Thank you for your hard work and sharing it with the world. Do you think middle September is good idea to see Fall colors there? I’m planning to head out around mid or late September.
Oh definitely, that’s when I went! It was so beautiful at that time (minus a few smokey days.. but hopefully you won’t have those).
What about the Snake river? Where Ansel Adams took that famous photo, is it in the region?
Yes, the Snake River Overlook. The view is not the same as it was in 1942 because overgrown trees cover most of the river from that vantage point now. But there's still a nice view of the Tetons.
That’s a beautiful place
:)
Is fall a good time to visit? We’re planning to go this coming fall.
The GTNP is great! Yellowstone NP is my favorite place to photography on Earth, but GTNP is hot on its heels..lol
They’re both pretty great. But that’s okay, you can have Yellowstone and I’ll claim the Tetons 😎😎😎
@@NicoleGlass deal! Lol
That barn is John Moulton's. Down the road 1/4 mile to the south is T.A.'s.
What is the tripod you're using at the start of the video (on the rock?) I went to the Tetons 3 times this summer/fall!
3 times, wow! I wish I could go more often. The mini-tripod is a Switchpod :)
Great video! Do you happen to know what the trail is at 0:16?
That was the Taggard Lake trail (the longer one that passes by Bradley Lake). My FAVORITE hike that I did... so beautiful and not crowded
@@NicoleGlass I'm so sorry! I really meant the clip from 0:13 to 0:16
So pretty :)
Thank you! 😊
I want the grand tetons soooo bad!!! I would love to interview you or do a colab for my photography page
do you have a tutorial on hyper lapse time lapse?
I don't, but I was thinking of making one soon:)

Whoops! 😬
They really don’t bother with social distancing do they?
Yeah I noticed that too... cases were almost non-existent when I went, but now it's a hotspot
@@NicoleGlass Love the video otherwise though.
@@NicoleGlass interesting. i wonder if that had an influence. Maybe we will learn more over the next few years
