You realize that if you believe God has a plan for you, then that means he planned for you to struggle with being stuck in the past, right? Same goes for people who get cancer, his plan for that person was to eventually get cancer, and if they are prayed for and still die, then his plan for them was to die. Also the Bible basically proves that prayer doesn't work, because it says that God does not abide by the will of others, only his own. So if his will was for someone to die of cancer, then your prayer means nothing, and if his plan was for them to be cured of cancer then your prayer still meant nothing, but you will believe that it did anyway and that was also his will for you. Whether or not you want to say it's part of your test or God gives you challenges or something is whatever, I'm just pointing out that by believing this stuff, you are holding yourself back. You can find the strength to love on from your past on your own, especially if God is not real. If he is, then technically he is the one holding you back and if that's the case then there's not much you can do except hope his plan allows you to move forward in life without issue.
Yes you’re right, ask for forgiveness and God forgives us, and if we don’t forgive ourselves after the fact, we don’t believe what the word says and in fact we are saying that Jesus wasted his life for me, God bless you
