So many lessons to be learned here!
Especially being a female solo traveler! Make sure you have a local Simcard with internet and credit!
Make sure to have enough cash on you and do not use your emergency funds if it’s not an emergency!
Make sure you learn the basic stuff of the language of the country you’re visiting! So important!
Make sure people know your whereabouts!
Discuss price before getting in the car!
And yes the incident was not your fault but the man deserved to get his money . He did his part.

1. I know basic Spanish
2. What part did he do? He brought me to an atm that took my card! He was made aware that was my payment method before I got in.
3. My whereabouts were known my location is on at all times therefore my friends know where to find me and as mentioned one was on the phone during the time.
And again PRICES AND PAYMENT METHODS WERE DISCUSSED BEFORE I GOT IN
