I'm so grateful to you. You saved me in my most difficult moment in life and the painting became my salvation. I lost my dad in 2020 and my first painting with you was a painting where dad and I could meet in the spirit on the forest path I painted. It hangs on my wall and reminds me not to give up, and that something beautiful can come from pain and sorrow.
I can see your pain, but I can also see your strength. To take your pain and turn it into your strength and willingness to help is the most beautiful thing I know.

I seen the Bob Ross doc I was shocked I had no idea how bad it got screwed over also Steve and Dana. It breaks my heart how things ended. A good man who helped million and shared love and joy got robbed on his death bed. Sorry for venting.

I love your tutorials but I do have one comment I’m barley beginning and I wish I could see how you mix the paint as well as how you apply it on the knife. If it was a little more zoomed out.
But will continue to watch your videos. Great job
Justin you’re amazing, I’m just barley beginning and as of right now I get to frustrated with my paintings, they don’t look anything like I want them to, I know practice, practice, practice, but I can’t paint mountains, my trees look like crap and I’m top of it all I’m color blind so I start out frustrated, but enough of my problems, you are a fantastic painter thank you for sharing!
Start painting because it’s fun. Let go of the worries when it comes to looks. I’m telling you it will make you improve so much faster. Also , you gotta believe in yourself. Sounds generic but it’s the truest statement I’ve ever witnessed.
If I may offer some advice…don’t let any of those things get you frustrated, especially right from the get go. It’s not the final outcome that is the point here, it’s how you feel while you’re painting. You could try to focus on the process and not the final product of painting. I’ve personally found it to be quite meditative. In my opinion there’s nothing else like feeling the paint move across the canvas. Have you thought of maybe painting in gray scale? Then you wouldn’t have to worry about colors and that way you can just deal with light and dark contrast.
Oh yah…we are usually our own worst critic from day one or 30 years. I still think my painting is crappy and needs lots of work but it’s the healing process that keeps me coming back.
I just don’t want to see your frustration win out over your enjoyment and healing.

I'm about to start painting bc of the same reason i struggle with depression for like 5 years now its all started with an unfair break up since then i try everything to fight back with these feelings its like nothing gonna help me i was so hopeless till someday seeing myself watching Bob ross on yt and after that i hooked to the painting i just ordered the paints and all other stuff i really don't care how good or bad the paint would come out i just want to give myself hope i know i'm not alone and a lot of people struggling with these thoughts everyday i reall wish someday you will finally come out of this prison i really care i mean it because i know how bad it is its ... just i don't know ...

I am 76 yrs old fell first of year injured rat wrist and broke thumb. I can’t do techniques like I use to because of it so I just keep practicing and hoping I will be able to paint like I use to it’s hard
This is just amazing to me! I just ordered my first set of all I need to start painting. 43 but I know I can do it!!! I do want to ask though…..I’m still new and ignorant please forgive me. Is this wet on dry method? The wet on wet and wet on dry still confuses me a bit. Thank you!
