Just a tip for any new players: Ruby, uranite, crystaline sulfur and nickel is easily found around and inside the entrance to the lost river (mind the leviathans). Also, farm (outdoor grow beds) deep shrooms, gel sacs and bloodvine. Indoor farming for food: (one indoor grow bed of each) Lantern fruit and Marble Melon!
Episode 5 of Notification Squad x Subnautica x Z and i didn't forget to come back again to say I liked it before watching. Let's continue the streak!!!
There are some really nice quality of life mods. Easy Crafting is a must. It lets you pull mats from storage when crafting and in most cases you don't have to build sub components like copper wire (for example) in order to build things.
Autosort lockers, easy craft and docked vehicle storage ( not sure exact name, but pulls all items from your seamoth when u dock n works beautifully with autosort) are awesome.
U missed the light stick fragment at 14:08 at the right left corner,is a very overlooked useful item ,i use some to light up deep bases, the floodlight sucks in my opinion, and u can carry one with urself,is a free infinite light source. Also u can name ur seamoth, and there are some mods if u want to customize the base.
Some QoL mods like resource monitor, auto sort (maybe), and storage extender (config file for storage also the resource monitor is kinda expensive) Nexusmods is where I got mine. When/if the game gets updated you just have to reinstall the mods which is easy as taking the folders out and reinstalling Qmods then putting all the mod folders you have back into the directory
You need the locker autosort mod, build a auto sort locker and then some lockers you can change the color and name and the type of item you want in the locker and all you do is drop all items in the autosort and its all moved to the correct lockers. Another nice mod is the one that will use inventory from your lockers without you needing to hunt around. You want to craft something just pulls from storage if needed. Other mod to change the color of your base tho I do not know how free the options are. Some other mods that are nice but those 2 are a god send.
Here is a big tip instead of using the Laser cutter requirements Habitat builder 2 Titaium That all you need create the tube on a wreck it'll destroy it instanly
Me sitting here watching you instinctively pick lifepod 19 after I just returned from there with a bunch of goodies :D. Got my prawn suit built and my moonpool
Hey Z...Great video, time just flew by whilst watching, with your sense of humor it makes for a fun and entertaining watch! I have never seen a modded Subnautica video. I'd like to see what's out there.
I don't mind modded, as long as u start normal like you have already. And like every 2 episodes or so add a new one, maybe even with a viewer vote pole for what one to add next. Also me personally I'd like to see some this play through. We all I'm sure have seen plenty of normal runs..... let's spice it up!
I ended up putting a multipurpose room at the beginning of the safe area below the disease research facility and another at the base of the mountain in the active lava zone. I did everything in the active lava zone with the sea glide and left the Cyclops at an small opening in the sea floor. There was more back and forth but almost no creatures in the way. If you're interested I could try to explain how I did it.
@@gorgeousmoon5736 I'll try. I can't remember the names of everything but I used the video to get to the wreck where the orange tablet is. When you get the orange tablet then continue to the bottom. when you turn left to go to the area where the orange tablet is used there is an opening on the right that leads around to the big skeleton. When you approach the big skeleton on the right is some columns that is the entrance to the disease research facility. I went by it multiple times without realizing it. If you go that way be careful there are a lot of bad creatures in there. If you follow the flow instead of entering the disease research facility it takes you to the safe area with the big tree. Just before you get to the falls at the edge of the safe area on the right is another falls that you are a the bottom of. If you go up the falls and go around to the right to the opposite end there is a small opening in the ceiling on the left. I believe it's a little over 300 m from the falls you just came up. At the top of the opening I left a beacon to return to with the Cyclops. Now back at the edge of the bottom of the falls at the edge of the safe area I put a couple of multipurpose rooms there with a bioreactor and a few inside grow beds full of marblemelons and a few free standing storage lockers. At the oposite end of the safe area there is a waterfall on the left side. Looking down to the left of the waterfall there is an opening you can go through. That's where I left the seamoth just above 900m . As soon as I go through the opening I turn right and stay against the left side curving around to the left. I found out that as soon I could see the beacon for lifepod 12 if I left a gap the size of my marker between lifepod 12 beacon and my marker and stay at 1185 m. I would come directly to a large round column that I would go around and the entrance for the lava castle would be on the right on the other side. I eventually got to be able to do it with one ultra high capacity tank but would keep a spare or two just for good measure. I also put a multipurpose room on a level area in front of the door to the left with a thermal reactor to make things easier. I also highly recommend watching the video to go through the tunnels to get inside the mountain and the pathfinder tool to get back out. When you're standing at the entrance to the lava castle looking away turn right and you'll see lava flowing down through an opening. When you go through the opening go straight ahead and that is where the complex is. I did this in creative mode to get comfortable with the route. When I felt comfortable enough I took the plunge and as soon as I went through the hole below the falls in survival mode I got attacked by a warper. It was the only time I saw one there but It did happen so be careful. For me getting comfortable doing it in creative mode keeps me from freaking out doing it in survival mode. It's the same with the wrecks that have multiple openings and long tunnels inside of them. I hope this helps. Hopefully when you get to the areas i'm talking about you'll understand what I did. I mainly did it this way because I couldn't navigate the Cyclops in tight areas worth a hardly and this way I didn't have to. I also did everything I could do to keep from having to take the Cyclops to the active lava zone. Also you can get the kyanite you need on the tunnels going into the lava castle and the walls around the castle.
@@gorgeousmoon5736 There are some good videos on where it is that are a lot better than I could explain here. What I did was start a separate game in creative mode. That allowed me to do things like this without limits. That would allow me to do things and go places like in the seamoth I couldn't go otherwise. I would plan my route and go over it until I was comfortable with it. Like when I went in the Aurora. I did my exploring in creative mode so when I was in regular game play I didn't have to worry about getting lost For me it made the game play so much more enjoyable.
yes this vid is amazing...but yes modded would be fun i guess as long as you dont supper mod it only put mods in that would be usefull but continue the sires anyways love your vids keep on going
I will always endorse modded play-throughs of any game. I have yet to play a modable game where the vanilla game is better. Video game communities always know what a game is lacking and somehow someone always follows through with a new mod to enhance the game, even people who have never modded before will pick it up just to see an improvement into the game they love. I know this because it is what I do. TLDR: Yes modded, yes please
I really like what Jon of MATN did with a couple of his FNV and Skyrim playthroughs, where each episode he'd gradually introduce a new mod that enhanced the base game, usually graphics or QoL. I kind of want to do something similar with Subnautica--first ep or two vanilla or mostly so, then add quickslots since that's the first thing you run out of, and so on.
mods would be cool. I think you been saying we needed more power for a few episodes. would be nice to get working on base building we seen very little this time. have a nice day!!! /)(\
Mods would be cool, but maybe in a separate save. Then you could keep doing this one as a normal play-through.
I agree with you.
Me to
I want the regular series
Definitely, but running at the same time not finish this first!
I agree no mods I like the game how it is
Pro gel sack planting tip. Put a gel sack in the grow bed, harvest it 2 times, then pick the gel sack. Repeat to harvest infinite gel sack seeds!
Jason Anderson That’s what I do, I just starting doing it. I hope they don’t patch it!
Its a feature
It’s really cool even in 2024 😂
I would love a modded but Finnish this play through first

I bought the game last week. Within two days knew I totally loved it. Love this content too. Thank you. L/s.

Z with 8 copper: “I just got a little bit of copper”
Me with 4 copper: “I just found a ton of copper”
The profile pic is great
Once you get the scanner room thingy finding copper becomes so much better
Well its so hard to get copper for be case my inv is so full lol
If mods, then maybe just the slot increase mod for quality of life improvement.
