IMPORTANT: The process of getting the work permit it can take 4 months in some cases 6 months. LEGALLY you cannot work until the work permit is ready. Many people end up working on the “black market” risking to get deported. Lately there have been a lot of raids where they try to find illegal workers in Malta. Please be careful❤

For people who are considering to move to Malta, Alex is very objective and realistic. There was a time when you could live a decent life with normal wage but now everything change. Rent is abnormally high, Maltese people become more and more greedy and lazy. TCN (Third Country Nationals) are suffering in this small island. Low wages, high rent, cost of living. If you are not EU and you don't have skills or personal business, DON'T COME. There is much better countries in EU. Dont get me wrong, Malta is beautiful but conditions for non EU are terrible. Now days , actually, couple of years, trend is that Maltese people importing TCN and asking a lot of money for that. Indians are paying up to 10,000 EUR to come to Malta as Nepali and rest of TCN. Up to 6 months approval for Single Work Permit, Change of Employment goes the same. No Customer Care, No Help. People ends up with lawyers and empty pockets. My advice is: THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU COME.

Do your sums... Wages are very very low here compared to cost of living. Minimum wage €700 net full time pay... And rent of 1 room in shared apartment is €400-500 per month!!!

ANOTHER GREAT, INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL VIDEO ESPECIALLY TO "INTERESTED PARTIES" - Free of Charge 😇. However, as far as I'm aware from credible /reliable "Malta News sources" and "contacts ⚖" : (1) Indian🇮🇳 national Akhil George (wish him a speedy recovery 🙏) was attacked in Marsa by two "SOMALI 🇸🇴" nationals NOT by MALTESE., (2) there would/could be enough Maltese workers to work in the tourism/hospitality industry BUT they prefer to work in better jobs for better money ESPECIALLY NOW that, as you well explained, these employers dropped the wages they pay eager migrants and created a "cheap labour" environment/industry in the process. Do not be convinced by the employer if they say training / trial / start and we'll apply... You run the risk of being caught, fined, deported and banned from returning.

1.They have to pay money for breakfast or lunch and transportation.

3.Annually people will need an extra (bonus) payment because of high inflation rates.

The moral of the story is: Get an education before moving! Instead of paying 5000, 10,000 for some scammer to get you to Malta, spend 5000 on a university degree, then you can come alone and earn decent money. We Maltese want foreigners not because we need them for restaurants and shops - we want foreigners because we all have apartments to rent to them - that way we don't need to work to earn more than we could earn through a salary and guess what? Because we live so cheap, we tend to buy more and more and more - and only start living a luxury life after we have around 10 or more :)
