I just bought a 650RS. On Saturday night I was cruising at 35 mph in 3rd gear and thought I would wring it out a bit. I cranked the throttle to about 3/4 to completely open. The engine went to 4500 rpm and was heading up very quickly. I swear the front wheel was leaving the concrete. Needless to say, I shut it down. The tires are new and apparently the rear one is pretty sticky. Needless to say I will remember this little episode for the future. This is the quickest and most nimble motorcycle I have ever owned.
there is no perfect single bike. as a second bike this is really great. I enjoy this a lot, not only riding but also working on (I've got upgraded adjustable raer suspension, harder fork springs, tail tidy, full exhaust, lipo batt, etc)
