    Migration. The left parties in Denmark and Norway took harder stances on immigration, and they were projected to lose, but they won significantly. It is strictly immigration and economy. People are all willing to be open-minded until times get hard, and they need someone else to blame for their problems.

    • @nicolemiller8314

      The politicians caused the problems. It’s ridiculous to blame the citizens who are under the heavy weight of the greedy politicians.

    • @francois3475
      @francois3475 День назад

      People were willing to be 'open-minded' mainly because they didn't understand what the consequences would be. The leftist parties themselves typically don't appreciate the future consequences of their proposed policies. And it's inaccurate to say that people "need someone else to blame for their problems". Rather, the left-wing parties in Denmark and Norway should be given credit for acknowledging that mass immigration was a mistake and have been working to correct it.

    DW has been trying to understand why these parties (which you call "far-right" but really aren't) are appealing. But you never talk to anyone who supports them. You only talk to leftists about what they think. If I was trying to find out why something was appealing, I'd talk to someone who found it appealing. I guess that's why I'm not a journalist.

      This is what Ceausescu used to say in his last days, negating the reality of a nation that stopped supporting him - "agenturile" as they say today - Russian interference. The Globalists stole so much in the last 35 years that their power is tremendous - they blatantly interfere in other countries affairs while shouting "Russian interference". Musk - this anti-Christ - is not what he wants us to believe he is. He interferes in broad daylight and nobody actually takes offence. Vassals.

      "Populism" is the new name given to whoever listens to the REAL needs of the masses living under increasing criminality, leftist are instead prefer to promote an ideology that doesn't resolve the problem, and are more focused on theorizing policies to PROTECT CRIMINALS in the name of human rights than in helping the real victims. Most of the time they're so disconnected that they even called the perpetrator of horrible crimes "victims of the system" and the real victims are now called fascists under their manipulated ideology.

    Strobl, the political 'scientist' interviewed in DW's program, used to be chairwoman of the Vienna Socialist Students' Association. She was a member of the executive committee of the Vienna Socialist Party. Today she is a member of the SPÖ and, according to the daily 'Der Standard', she is part of the "inner circle" around Andreas Babler, the current self-described Marxist party chairman who has been in office since June 2023. She's a far-left political 'scientist'.

    What makes far-right parties so appealing to voters?
    Simple solutions for complex problems.
    The solutions won't work of course, but who cares? The parties making the simplistic and too often jingoistic claims will get elected.
