can you do a video about technology and computers (what types of computers they have, how their internet is set up etc) and such in the dprk. i remember reading on wikipedia that the dprk actually submits emojis to unicode and one of those was the coffee emoji ☕️ which i find interesting i’ve heard a lot about “red star os” an apparent dprk linux distro that people say “is the only operating system allowed in north korea” but you can clearly see the use of windows xp there so i wonder what red star os is all about
I wonder where you get different versions of North Korean songs? that Song of The Korean People's Army intrustmental at the start of the video was so good!
I highly encourage anyone who found it interesting to read more about the Poplar Tree Incident. It's a lot more complex, a lot more absurd, and a lot more tragic than the summary here.
I didn't know that there used to complete joint operations of both sides. Seeing both Korean armies' soldiers going around mixed up like that felt like some weird RTS game mess.
Another video on the operations of Panmunjom would be interesting. For example, if repairs are needed on the buildings that straddle the MDL, how is that arranged ? How do the two sides coordinate tourism so that they do not have tourists entering the UN building at the same time? What functions occur within the 4 DPRK buildings that straddle the MD ?
Cool video! It would be very interesting if you researched and made a video about musical education in the DPRK, as in what paths can regular musicians take to become professional ones.
I would love to see more videos about the DMZ. Maybe what it's like to be a North Korean soldier stationed there, or what their protocols are. Although I'm not sure much of that information is available to the public. Just a thought, cheers.
Hi in my opinion, for the music video channel, it would be more entertaining to see moving scenes instead of disk. Translated subtitles are cool too mate
I might be one of the few who has been to both sides of that border for real. Anyone can walk around that indoor table in one of the blue buildings but I came down from Pyongyang and up from Seoul to visit the border twice. Funny enough coming from the north was like going to any strict border area but coming from south, controlled by USA was the most hysterical border visit ever, worse even compared to when I visited the Soviet satellite dictatorship of Transnistria.
To be fair there are many more checks that take place before you get to the border inherently in the north. To be able to get into Pyongyang you need to get an approved visa, provides escorts, approves general travel itineraries, etc. then has additional checks along the way before you get to see the border. The south has less checks entering and traveling in the country so it makes sense that once you got to the border it’d be stricter.
@@MustardAndFries It's not so much that - from what I've heard from friends you tend to get shuttled around random shops before and after and sit through some quite intense talks/lectures which seem to be full of rubbish; but that's just what I've heard from a few friends who were forced to wander around an amythyst shop for 25 mins 😁
Both sides tend to make a show of the visit, but from what I've seen of the Southern tours, it looks like a big, loud commercialized spectacle. A very American-style experience if you ask me.
@DPRKExplained if you dont mind me asking, did you go on a tour there, or did you just go? If it was a tour, did you have to pay to go, or was it inclusive in something else? Great video, as always.
RUclips doesn’t notify me when you post even though I hit the bell. Thankfully I got you on insta so I know a video is dropping. Keep up the good work and keep posting your adventures on insta!
The guy in the first segment after the intro is like every IRL RUclipsr, I can see him saying " What's up guys today we are at the Panmunjom where hopefully they are going to come up with an agreement to "end" the war they are going to be signing right over there....

I would love to see videos in the style of this channel but about Japan, does anyone have any recommendation?
NHK World Japan
👍👍👍👍👍😁

Considering your normal upload schedule, this was quite fast. I never knew much about this small village, so thanks.
Great to learn more about the DMZ with not much content focusing on the specific details

Cold War era tension is really on its own league. It's unfortunate that such case happened.
Do you have any good reading material?
@@blazaram3368 I'll be honest with you: I just read the Wikipedia article on it
@@Sammie1053 fair enough, thank you anyway
I think Simon from today I found out channel mentioned a story about that
Yet Another Interesting fact of Korean History.
Well done DPRK Explained and Keep going !!!

Yea, I'm surprised it didn't devolve how it did much sooner tbh

?
Are you affiliated with DPRK? Never seen a channel dedicated to North Korea with such a calm tone vs what I usually hear about it.
Not affiliated, nope
The intro is badass af
The intro alone makes me rate this video 100/10.

Can't wait!!! Hearing the host speak makes me wonder how handsome and good he is in person 🥰
Hahahahahahaha 😂

Have you ever visited North Korea?
Yep, I used to work in DPRK tourism pre-Covid

Good to see a new video so shortly since the last one

I’ve only ever been from the northern side, I’ve heard the southern side is a bit mental

I love your channel and the DPRK looking forward for more videos 🇰🇵❤️🇨🇳

Wasn’t a proper peace signed in 2016/2017?
No, none of that happened tension returned after the talks any ways.
The Panmunjom Declaration was signed in 2018 but that wasn’t a formal peace treaty for the war
Can you please do a video on North Korean paved and non paved motorways?
KOREA Is ONE REUNIFICATION for PEACE PROSPERITY PROGRESS
Just visited a month and a half ago - I learned more from this video than the tour!
I'd love to travel to north korea after seeing your videos. The americans are just saying lies as they always do. Love from former Latvian SSR
