If you don't know the tailed beasts need to be sealed in order of ascending tails. The Akatsuki found this out the hard way when they almost broke the husk by sealing the tailed beasts out of order. This is why they went after gara at the beginning of shebuden and then hunted them in order of ascending tails

Me personally, nah I feel like this what if is an alternative route the story could've played out if the nicer Kurama was placed into Naruto however we do get robbed of alot of really good fight scenes like Naruto vs Sasuke ROUND 1
it would make for a honestly pretty good reboot I think. almost like an AU kinda thing. so the main show a lot of people grew up with is still there, but we have this alternate telling of how it went from a different timeline, and allow everyone to kinda forget kurama being dead canonically for a little while. I think it has the potential to be a million times better than how boruto handled, well just about everything.
If he had yin kurama he wouldn't be having insane regeneration and healing. When he had yang kurama, he was able to recover from injuries throughout shipuden thanks to yang release from yang kurama. Regenerating and healing jutsu consists as yang release.
he also wouldnt be able to use shadow clone jutsu efficiently. The jutsu he failed at the chunin test was Clone jutsu, which is yin release, thats why in the original he was so bad at it, but shadow clone jutsu is yang release, thats why he was so good at it when he learned it. so in this universe, naruto would excel at clone jutsu

I would agree having the light side of Kurama would definitely make things a whole lot more bearable and helpful during Naruto's Early Childhood which was definitely traumatizing for him since without support network he had to suffer his growth being stunted. But since he had an actual guide at least even from in his own head it definitely helps his intelligence and part of his personality to lighten a bit more and giving a better outcome somewhat to others around him.

Yin(also called female) is the dark half but has a bit of light in it that when nurtured is far more pure and good than the light found in the yang half. Theory: This could mean that Kurama's Yang half was completely consumed by it's darkness resulting in the only light left in Kurama being in his Yin half (at least until Naruto brought the Yang half back into the light). So his Yin half might actually be easier to befriend than his Yang half.
Also I feel that yin Kurama is much smarter then yan…. So he realised how much hard time he gave Naruto… this means Naruto would unlock seal long time ago. Also yin Kurama would notice orochimarus and dodge it so ultimately Naruto’s seal would be entirely removed long ago. It also means that Naruto might have used baryon mode against Kathy’s and when kurama died minato would use his kurama to revive yin in Naruto. So ultimately Naruto would be more familiar with baryon mode and likely not loose yin against Ishiki
I really need this series now. Only thing I would change is the use of KCM. Perhaps substituting for V1 cloak where it still hurts Naruto, would give Naruto a better reason to train with pervy sage and maybe even have Kurama push Naruto to learn sage mode.

I don't think Yin Kurama is more benevolent. He is just more cunning compared to the more violent Yang half. The reason the Yin half made peace with Minato should be their position as eternal prisoners. If the Yin was with Naruto, the kid would've most probably manipulated into releasing his prisoner. Unless Kuama decided to turn him to the Dark side. Minato knew that the Yang half being too prideful, at least wouldn't try manipulation from the beginning.
Yin version may be the good version of Kurama but I think the reason why Kurama befriended Minato quickly is because Minato was strong enough to not fight Minato. Second is that Minato might have told Yin Kurama the reason he was sealed That's why Kurama got in terms with Minato.

For the forest of death arc personally I would have thought that yin kurama would like save Naruto from Orochimaru so he wouldn’t get the 5 element seal
I mean, a universe where Jiriya survives isn't out of the question. He doesn't necessarily have to beat Pain, he just needs to get away logically. That would be as easy as Reverse Summoning (I'm actually surprised he doesn't use that more).
I think there are a few issues with the war, so I'll just drop them here for anyone interested. Since Orochimaru is never killed by Sasuke, it's likely that he and Kabuto would join forces with Obito. Their reanimation technique would probably be weaker, but they would have access to Orochimaru's arms, as well as the first 4 hokage, since Orochimaru knew the location of the reaper's mask. In the best case scenario, Hashirama and Minato can break out of Orochimaru's control and join the shinobi alliance. In the worst case scenario, 4 hokage join the edo tensei army and end the war in the early phases. What's most likely is that Orochimaru and Kabuto only summon Tobirama and Hiruzen, which would still massively benefit Obito's cause. Itachi needed Sasuke's help to break a genjutsu while only fighting Kabuto. Up against Orochimaru and Kabuto all by himself, it's unlikely that he could win. In the best case scenario, he blinds himself and uses the Izanami on both of them. This would release the jutsu and give Tobirama and Madara the chance to reanimate themselves, though Madara would likely make quick work of Tobirama. Without Hashirama, no one will be around to fight Madara while Naruto and Sasuke try to fight Obito. This would give him free reign to slaughter the entire alliance. Juubito can only be affected by senjutsu. In this AU, Naruto never learned Sage mode and Sasuke never met Jugo, so they would have no way of beating Obito before he casts the infinite Tsukuyomi. Guy would need to open the 8th gate to take him down. If Guy dies fighting Obito, no one will be left to fight against Madara once he absorbs the Ten Tails. He'd ensure that Naruto and Sasuke die before receiving the help they need. If Obito is blown apart by the Night Guy like Madara was, he wouldn't be able to help Naruto anyway, and he wouldn't be a viable host for Black Zetsu. This would mean that he couldn't really get close to Madara and kill him.
I honestly thought the more dark natured Kurama was placed into Naruto. His battle with the fox for his chakra control was mainly about Kurama’s nature of hatred being passed to him before Kushina stepped in. It wasn’t until Minato was revived that we as the readers realized that the “Dark” Kurama was surprised that Naruto was able to convince that side of him to sync with him because of his animosity to people. It could be argued that his other half had a lot of time to think and change with Minato since they were in the stomach of the shinigami, but I personally think the “darker” Kurama was the nice one. I’m open to discussion if anyone is willing.

I could see kumara being revived after a short time since half of this chakra is still sealed away. No idea how yang half would react after all that though
i like this retelling alot more than the story we got. it doesnt change a whole lot but makes these familial intimate connections feel more tangible and weighted
Yin is the one Naruto got yang was the one Minato got because yin light so light kurama and yang dark so dark kurama Edit : reasons I think dark kurama became friends with Minato was because they were already dead together so they had no reason to fight and they spend all of Naruto-shippuden together and got along
Splitting kurama up into Yin and Yang was setraight up good and evil split. So for Naruto to befriend the "evil" kurama who only wanted revenge is an absolute feat.
Loving it so far however naruto wouldn’t be able to use kcm cause his body is to small in my opinion at least and also in my opinion why jiraya didnt just teach naruto sage mode in the two year time skip (also cause kishimoto didn’t think of the power up sage mode at the time and came up with it later)
Although Naruto may be far stronger with Yin Kurama because of the deeper bond they would have shared, it’s still only half of Kurama’s power, therefore I feel that Baryon mode would have been weaker, since that’s when he had both sides, unless I missed something in the video
We can assume the 3 dead Hokage were revived to help in the war effort by Orochimaru, who forms a temporary alliance with the Allied forces when confronted by Hiruzen, Sasuke, and Kakashi over which side he wants to be a part of, as Madara and Obito pose far too big of a threat for even him to ignore them. He also never gets to control those 3 Hokages, as Naruto and Sasuke don't end the Mugen Tsukuyomi before Minato and the others return to the Pure Land.
This is something that has always peeved me: Yin is supposed to be the dark/evil side while Yang is the good/bright side. I don’t understand why so many shows and video games get it wrong.

No there were already some open eyes/sealed beasts before Gaara. It was only kurama who needed to be sealed last due to Kuramas immense Chakra

I don't think Yin Kurama is more benevolent. He is just more cunning compared to the more violent Yang half. The reason the Yin half made peace with Minato should be their position as eternal prisoners. If the Yin was with Naruto, the kid would've most probably manipulated into releasing his prisoner. Unless Kuama decided to turn him to the Dark side. Minato knew that the Yang half being too prideful, at least wouldn't try manipulation from the beginning.

Yin version may be the good version of Kurama but I think the reason why Kurama befriended Minato quickly is because Minato was strong enough to not fight Minato. Second is that Minato might have told Yin Kurama the reason he was sealed That's why Kurama got in terms with Minato.

For the forest of death arc personally I would have thought that yin kurama would like save Naruto from Orochimaru so he wouldn’t get the 5 element seal

I mean, a universe where Jiriya survives isn't out of the question. He doesn't necessarily have to beat Pain, he just needs to get away logically. That would be as easy as Reverse Summoning (I'm actually surprised he doesn't use that more).
I'm good with this being the real show too. So much less pain, so many more wholesome moments.
I think there are a few issues with the war, so I'll just drop them here for anyone interested.
Since Orochimaru is never killed by Sasuke, it's likely that he and Kabuto would join forces with Obito. Their reanimation technique would probably be weaker, but they would have access to Orochimaru's arms, as well as the first 4 hokage, since Orochimaru knew the location of the reaper's mask. In the best case scenario, Hashirama and Minato can break out of Orochimaru's control and join the shinobi alliance. In the worst case scenario, 4 hokage join the edo tensei army and end the war in the early phases. What's most likely is that Orochimaru and Kabuto only summon Tobirama and Hiruzen, which would still massively benefit Obito's cause.
Itachi needed Sasuke's help to break a genjutsu while only fighting Kabuto. Up against Orochimaru and Kabuto all by himself, it's unlikely that he could win. In the best case scenario, he blinds himself and uses the Izanami on both of them. This would release the jutsu and give Tobirama and Madara the chance to reanimate themselves, though Madara would likely make quick work of Tobirama.
Without Hashirama, no one will be around to fight Madara while Naruto and Sasuke try to fight Obito. This would give him free reign to slaughter the entire alliance.
Juubito can only be affected by senjutsu. In this AU, Naruto never learned Sage mode and Sasuke never met Jugo, so they would have no way of beating Obito before he casts the infinite Tsukuyomi. Guy would need to open the 8th gate to take him down.
If Guy dies fighting Obito, no one will be left to fight against Madara once he absorbs the Ten Tails. He'd ensure that Naruto and Sasuke die before receiving the help they need.
If Obito is blown apart by the Night Guy like Madara was, he wouldn't be able to help Naruto anyway, and he wouldn't be a viable host for Black Zetsu. This would mean that he couldn't really get close to Madara and kill him.

I have been waiting for this what if for almost a year
I honestly thought the more dark natured Kurama was placed into Naruto. His battle with the fox for his chakra control was mainly about Kurama’s nature of hatred being passed to him before Kushina stepped in.
It wasn’t until Minato was revived that we as the readers realized that the “Dark” Kurama was surprised that Naruto was able to convince that side of him to sync with him because of his animosity to people.
It could be argued that his other half had a lot of time to think and change with Minato since they were in the stomach of the shinigami, but I personally think the “darker” Kurama was the nice one.
I’m open to discussion if anyone is willing.

Edit : reasons I think dark kurama became friends with Minato was because they were already dead together so they had no reason to fight and they spend all of Naruto-shippuden together and got along
Splitting kurama up into Yin and Yang was setraight up good and evil split. So for Naruto to befriend the "evil" kurama who only wanted revenge is an absolute feat.
Loving it so far however naruto wouldn’t be able to use kcm cause his body is to small in my opinion at least and also in my opinion why jiraya didnt just teach naruto sage mode in the two year time skip (also cause kishimoto didn’t think of the power up sage mode at the time and came up with it later)

Although Naruto may be far stronger with Yin Kurama because of the deeper bond they would have shared, it’s still only half of Kurama’s power, therefore I feel that Baryon mode would have been weaker, since that’s when he had both sides, unless I missed something in the video
We can assume the 3 dead Hokage were revived to help in the war effort by Orochimaru, who forms a temporary alliance with the Allied forces when confronted by Hiruzen, Sasuke, and Kakashi over which side he wants to be a part of, as Madara and Obito pose far too big of a threat for even him to ignore them. He also never gets to control those 3 Hokages, as Naruto and Sasuke don't end the Mugen Tsukuyomi before Minato and the others return to the Pure Land.
