OH MY GOD!!! Swear I was like 13 when I went to my first Britney concert and my mom and aunt were so concerned about me and my cousin listening to If You Seek Amy. Never knew why until RIGHT NOW!!!
+The Mary Lindsay I never understood that song until now...I never knew what If U Seek Amy meant lol. But now I get it that I say it real slow...F U C K ME....LOL...wow that's sneaky!!!
how did people not no that that Bruno Mars song Heavan was dirty!? He LITERALLY says "cause your sex brings me to paradise, yeah your sex brings me to paradise" That's not exactly a little hint lol
I DIDN'T know Tutti frutti was about anal sex. Holy shit. That song could have never been released back in the 50's. Little Richard and his band would have been executed. Tutti frutti smack that booty... BITCH!
Lol. I'm Canadian, and the lyrics were so dirty. ("Will you have sex with me?") Glad my parents didn't know that, either. (I was into the All-Saints and they had a cover of this.)
I listened to ”Barbie Girl” again awhile ago (bc it was my jam when I was younger) and realised how sexual it was. The lyrics are literally ”You can brush my hair UNDRESS ME ANYWHERE” and ”Kiss me here, touch me there hanky panky”like I had NO IDEA!
I laughed way too loud at the part when Tom said "that's awesome" the look on his face and how quick it was before it switched back to someone else was gold. It was like a blink and you'll miss it one- liner.
So why did they not talk about the fact that Clara's 'Goodies' is about her not giving them up. The lyrics say "If you're looking for the goodies keep on looking cuz they stay in the jar."
the funny thing is people wanna complain how kids today shouldn't be listening to dirty music yet we did the EXACT same thign when we were kids and didn't even realize what we were listening to so it doesn't make sense how we are so hypocritical
Little Richard-Tutti Frutti The original lyrics, in which "Tutti Frutti" referred to a homosexual man, were: Tutti Frutti, good booty If it don't fit, don't force it You can grease it, make it easy
I mean... so so many Bruno Mars songs are sexual... 'Our First Time' , 'Gorilla' (!) , 'Versace in the Floor' , 'Runaway' , 'Show Me'.... basically the whole 'Unorthodox Jukebox' album...
When I was 7 or 8 I didn't pay attention to that lyric. I liked Bruno Mars, my mom was playing that song in the car and I was all like "You Make me feel like I've been locked out of heaven!" I thought he meant that he had a crush on a girl but she didn't like him back so it was like "heaven" was her heart and now I'm 13 and looking back at this song made me think "My mom played a sexual song?! Why Bruno why?! I actually thought you were talking about the girl's heart. MY VIRGIN EARS WHY?!
Oh no... I've sang Locked Out Of Heaven at a Hospital. Changed the line to "your love takes me to paradise" but still. There was old people there. What have I done.
Lady Marmalade was dirty from the begining!! I mean, their clothes/moves/certain lyrics gave it away. ALSO - we are the gen that got the movie "Moulin Rouge" so that ref is what tipped me off as a kid
The original version of Greased Light'nin' (at least, in the film Grease) is pretty raunchy too. I mean there's the whole thing about fast cars = penis substitute and it's a Hot Rod... ROD!? Oooeer, missus! They actually changed a lot in this song to make it releasable as a single for the charts, but in the first change they only took out the reference to money, because it implied thieving; then left the KILLING in. "I'll get the money, I'll KILL to get the money" >chart version (I'll get it ready, I'll KILL to get it ready) haha missed it. then the other changed lyrics are: "y'know that ain't no shit, I'll be gettin' lots of TIT" >chart version "You know without a doubt I'll be really making out". "y'know that I ain't braggin', she's a real PUSSY wagon" >chart version "y'know that I ain't braggin', she's a real draggin' wagon". "You are supreme, the chicks'll CREAM for Greased Light'nin'" >chart version "... the chicks'll scream for Greased Light'nin'"
Wha's funnier is that they play the original at the roller rink I take my girls to...during "family time" (at least my youngest is already 14 so it's not that big of a deal to me)...however, they won't play Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It" (because it's "too suggestive"). LOL I laugh every time it comes on.
I am a huge Grease fan and so I already knew it was EXTREMELY dirty! Actually, Grease almost was not gonna be made because the movie was DIRTIER! When they sing Greased Light’nin’, when they put the plastic wrap on the car, that was originally going to be a condom! And there was even more!
The second to last and last lyrics made it and weren’t changed -_- Please don’t lie! I don’t want people to get facts on the greatest movie made wrong.
Well of course Goodies and Lady Marmalade were dirty songs. I mean come on. I didn't really care for If You See Amy but I didn't know what she was talking about until this video. Haha!
I still have a disc with the band the "All-Saints" with Lady Marmalade on that. And yes, because I'm Canadian, we had to take French in high school. I immediately caught onto how dirty it was. Funny thing was that disc was bought at a church garage sale, so I guess the French did hide the "smut" pretty well. Goodies was pretty dirty, and I didn't know the If YOu See Amy one. Also, I heard the single 3 when I was out shopping. How the hell was that remotely family appropiate?
My mom played the song "locked out of heaven" in the car when I was 8 years old and I sang that song in my sleep without even knowing that it was dirty! I'm 11 now and I can't believed I sang a dirty X_ rated song when I was in 2nd grade! 😨😨😨😨😨
Pecolia Williams ah hunny we know it’s sexual 😂😂😂 Though I did catch my younger cousin singing it and I yelled at her and she didn’t know why. Her friend did though and was visibly uncomfortable 😂
tbh i'm stunned by the fact they didn't know about moulin rouge ... i mean hounestly ... moulin rouge is the MOST famous night club in the world. add to that "strutting her stuff on the street. she said hey Joe you wanna give it a go." come on what do you think they were talking about. that's a "working girl" making a deal.
Don't Cha by The Pussycat Dolls, I remember singing this in the car with my dad when I was younger and getting yelled at cause I didn't know the meaning😂
Dirtiest lyric ever...’Walk This Way’, Aerosmith. Consider... ‘Backstrokin’ Lover Always hidin’ neath the covers Gonna’ talk to my Daddy, he say ‘Said you ain’t seen nothin’ Till Your down on the muff And you’re sure to be changin’ your ways I met a cheerleader Was a real young bleeder Oh the times I can reminisce Cuz the best things in lovin’ With a sister and a cousin Only start with a little kiss, like this... You have no list without this song on it
Roberta flack - "tonight I celebrate my love" Michael Jackson - "I wanna rock with you" ABBA - "Honey Honey" Anything from Mandy Moore before she turned 18
One of the songs that freaked me out when I realized what it really was about was Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop"! I had no clue that the song was actually talking about how everyone "pleasures themselves". As crazy as it might sound I just thought she was talking about how everybody dances. It's a good thing that my mother didn't figure it out, she would have killed me if she'd known what I was listening to.
Ok summer of 69 means the summer of 1969 if you listen to it,it means that summer was his greatest summer of his year.its not a dirty song it only happens to have a dirty number as the year
Bryan Adams was 10 years old in 1969, so the things that he said happened (playing in a band with his friends, falling in love with his girl) would not have happened in that year. I'm just saying. Or he could have written it from the point of view of someone older than himself. :-)
Sorry but Bryan Adams actually said it was about the summer that him his girl didn't go all the way but they did 69. So it was the summer of oral sex! And 69! But hey maybe he was lying in the interview.
1:10: The moment they realized what this NSYNC song really meant...I couldn’t keep a straight face. 2:36: What? I didn’t see that coming, especially since they were on Disney.
Anyone remember "HANKY PANKY" by Tommy 🎸 James and the Shondells in the 60's. I was a little 👧 and singing along to the 45. My baby does the hanky panky!!!!!
Lady Marmalade is obviously dirty, it literally says on her black satin sheets is where he started to freak and strutting her stuff on the street she said hello hey joe you wanna give it a go
lol nah he was actually reffering to a girls soft skin or something, he said so in an interview. i remember he felt sad and dissapointed that army thought everything he said was pervertive
I remember singing S&M by Rihanna and getting yelled at for it -- I thought the line "sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me" was a different, cool way to say the rhyme 😅😅🤦
One of my favorite songs when I was six was Sexy Back. I remember singing to that song in the car. It obviously has sexy in the title, but my brain was like: "That's not too bad." When I got older and really listened to the lyrics again I realized how inappropriate of a song that was for a six year old. I still love it though and I automatically start dancing when it comes on.
Rose :3 lol😂 nah he was actually reffering to a girls soft skin or something, he said so in an interview. i remember he felt sad and dissapointed that army thought everything he said was pervertive.
Always just thought Bryan Adam's 'Summer of '69' was talking about memories about the Summer of 1969, feeling a bit naive now... I'm a bit shocked that Lady Marmalade isn't realized to be a dirty song, it's essentially being sung by singers playing as luxuriously dressed French prostitutes, come on......
lol my cherry was NOT popped by this... BUT I loved this video ClevverTV!! this is deff 1 of my very top favs from u guys! I grew up in the 90's so yea I LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!! :) yall should do more like this (about more music, or just in this format with u guys from ClevverTV talking& laughing about the topic) Very fun.. LOVED IT! ;)
When I sang it, or just listened to it, I did not pay soo much attention to the text. Mainly because English isn't my first language, so I did not translate it, I guess xD
it's not... people just assume because it has 69 in it. it's literally talking about the summer of 1969. He wrote the song in a church for the love of christ.
In "locked out of heaven" didnt you guys hear the verse "Cause your sex takes me to paradise, yeah your sex takes me to paradise, and whooooooaaa"'.....Like I thought it was clear. Thats when I told my brother to stop listening to it lol.
but the one that threw me back was nsync digital getdown I think I was like 14 years old when that song came out omg I was like always singing it and dancing to it but it was like years later I heard jg was dirty. should have known I mean look who was in nsync Mr. dirty pop himself JT lol I think nsync had the most dirty songs lyrics of all boy bands. imo
tim millea mine too i got in truoble for singing it well at least saying u wont get no nookie or the cookies im no rookie part lol oop my kids wont be singing this
Lady marmalade was originally written by Patty LaBelle and I loved that song even after told me what the French part ment. Another dirty song is goldfrap - strict machine😊

Maleficent Shadows ta pas besoin de parler francais pour comprendre
It's weird because "sleep with" isn't actually a euphemism in French
Lol. I'm Canadian, and the lyrics were so dirty. ("Will you have sex with me?")
Glad my parents didn't know that, either. (I was into the All-Saints and they had a cover of this.)

Lauren and you people literally were in 8th grade and didn't know this stuff
Lauren yup seriously
Lauren But the music back in the day was at least good!!😂😂😂
Lauren the meanings were hidden at the time. now the songs are more direct for example: Often often girl i do this often make that pussy poppin'
How are they being hypocritical if they weren't aware?
Little Richard-Tutti Frutti
The original lyrics, in which "Tutti Frutti" referred to a homosexual man, were:
Tutti Frutti, good booty
If it don't fit, don't force it
You can grease it, make it easy
I did not know 'Like Whoa' was dirty. I listened to that song everyday when I was younger.
I highly doubt it’s dirty at all.
I don’t think it’s dirty either
I mean... so so many Bruno Mars songs are sexual... 'Our First Time' , 'Gorilla' (!) , 'Versace in the Floor' , 'Runaway' , 'Show Me'.... basically the whole 'Unorthodox Jukebox' album...

"I'll get the money, I'll KILL to get the money" >chart version (I'll get it ready, I'll KILL to get it ready) haha missed it.
then the other changed lyrics are:
"y'know that ain't no shit, I'll be gettin' lots of TIT" >chart version "You know without a doubt I'll be really making out".
The second to last and last lyrics made it and weren’t changed -_-
Please don’t lie! I don’t want people to get facts on the greatest movie made wrong.
I was always shocked at how dirty the lyrics to this song were. I've actually never heard the cleaned up version
umm.. i knew what 'locked out of heaven' meant when i was 11...
*these people were innocent*
Or dumb
Well of course Goodies and Lady Marmalade were dirty songs. I mean come on. I didn't really care for If You See Amy but I didn't know what she was talking about until this video. Haha!
I still have a disc with the band the "All-Saints" with Lady Marmalade on that. And yes, because I'm Canadian, we had to take French in high school. I immediately caught onto how dirty it was. Goodies was pretty dirty, and I didn't know the If YOu See Amy one.
Also, I heard the single 3 when I was out shopping. How the hell was that remotely family appropiate?
😊
My mom played the song "locked out of heaven" in the car when I was 8 years old and I sang that song in my sleep without even knowing that it was dirty! I'm 11 now and I can't believed I sang a dirty X_ rated song when I was in 2nd grade! 😨😨😨😨😨
Kesha Baker it isn't x_rated, it just say sex, that doesn't make it dirty

I was today years old
Yea, cuz it was in a musical.
tbh i'm stunned by the fact they didn't know about moulin rouge ... i mean hounestly ... moulin rouge is the MOST famous night club in the world. add to that "strutting her stuff on the street. she said hey Joe you wanna give it a go." come on what do you think they were talking about. that's a "working girl" making a deal.
Don't Cha by The Pussycat Dolls, I remember singing this in the car with my dad when I was younger and getting yelled at cause I didn't know the meaning😂

My mom once told me If U Seek Amy was about a call girl-
One of the songs that freaked me out when I realized what it really was about was Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop"!
Its been said to reference the 69 position as well as the year
Yeah even he said it’s about sex
Sorry but Bryan Adams actually said it was about the summer that him his girl didn't go all the way but they did 69. So it was the summer of oral sex! And 69! But hey maybe he was lying in the interview.
One of the last "it was the summer of 69" on the fadeout is changed to "me and my baby in 69", so I'm sure he meant it that way...
1:10: The moment they realized what this NSYNC song really meant...I couldn’t keep a straight face.
2:36: What? I didn’t see that coming, especially since they were on Disney.

Pretty sure literally everyone knew these were dirty....what kind of rock has the Clevver team been living under??? Lmao
Kerry Moan Right! When I was a kid I would purposely sing these songs to irritate my mother. Most kids sang them because they were adult songs.
I never did, but I wasn't born in the 90s lol. Im almost 15
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER THOUGHT 'Like Woah' WAS DIRTY LIKE OMG
If you seek Amy was the the surprising one for me.

Like Whoa is about emotional rollercoaster *not* orgasms 😭
Inner friction?
Fun Fact The roller coaster clip at 3:30 is at kings island in Ohio and it’s called The Beast, I know this because I’m from Ohio and I love that ride.

Mooks & Niles same
I know grew up listening to that song and still do I had my guesses but never knew that it's dirty
Well, considering most people sing "I got my first real sex dream" 😂😂
When I sang it, or just listened to it, I did not pay soo much attention to the text. Mainly because English isn't my first language, so I did not translate it, I guess xD
it's not... people just assume because it has 69 in it. it's literally talking about the summer of 1969. He wrote the song in a church for the love of christ.
Peaches and cream swetter than sweet, Chocolate cheeks and chocolate wings ( only a few will understand ) 😂
God damn it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was intentional though.
