    Plucked a few bits of information from all that. Which is a few more bits that I didn’t have before I watched it. 👍

    One on the Malvern hills would be appreciated.

    Hey there. Do you happen to have any knowledge of Isle Royale Greenstone? Or all the green metamorphic rocks of all stages around Lake Superior? I have some pieces I would be happy to send your way to study :)

      I don't know much about those rocks. I'll have to have a read about them. :)

    I'm enjoying the information just I have been finding some quartzite funky colours, size,golf ball,foot ball car house,and what you where explaining in the video are there as well I find from dark purple to black this is metamorphic has it been cooked from to much heat and pressure here molten activity all your three rock are .

    I live in a metamorphic iron and magnesium heavy area ❤

      Sounds exciting. It's all limestone round here with nice fossils and tectonic structures.

      @@geologyjohnson7700 mine was estimated baised on a surface sample and Labled the same as comparable areas in Apalachicola and Ohio. I get why it was done but I also think that they would assume someone would look into some time in the next few years not 100+/-

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  11 месяцев назад

      That's how a lot of these things go. The rocks get collected and then sit on a shelf for decades.

    Can you increase your lighting a bit? I couldn't even make out what you were holding (probably the microphone).

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  11 месяцев назад +1

      I'm holding a mic, nothing important. Will see what I can do about the lighting in post on future videos. There's nothing interesting behind me though, and I like to keep my office dark.

    G'day really enjoying the information been out searching found egg shaped Basalt round boulders tennis ball size, soccer ball, cracked one open deep colbolt colour and slabs of Basalt some pieces I found Esky lid size 50mm to 100mm thick with 10mm holes straight through the basalt this place is a spur off the great didving range

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  4 месяца назад

      That sounds really interesting. I've seen basalt weathering into round shapes but they were green not blue. I don't know much about the geology of the great dividing range though.

    Love the info, but the music does not fit the geological subject. Feels like I'm raving

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  4 месяца назад +1

      What music would fit geology? I'm still going to put the rave music in because that's what's in my head when I am doing geology.

    Cool Pokémon joke!
    I could not understand you for the rest of the video because of the music. Please take it away (or turn it way down).
    Also, please use "adobe enhance speech" tool to increase your audio quality. It's a free tool (but requires login).
    I usually like lo listen this type of informative content while relaxing or doing menial tasks. However, these audio characteristics have made it not worth it for me 😕

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  11 месяцев назад +1

      Oh dear! The speech sounds super loud and the music is very quiet at my end. I've even got a side chain ducker on the music triggered by the dialogue. Maybe the sound gets altered in the upload process? I'll have a look at the adobe thing.

    Make the intro shorter! I nearly clicked off in annoyance and frustration at the overlong self promotion, and a couple of minutes later you do wtch this other video of mine routine. You gain viewers by entertaining and with this type of channel educating them, not reading from idiots guide to being an influencer and putting more effort into self promo than content.

    • @geologyjohnson7700
      @geologyjohnson7700  11 месяцев назад

      Duly noted. TBH I don't like doing that stuff, but my videos always do better when I do them. So I guess it's what the platform wants?

    After 1 minute my brain started dribbling out of my ears. I think my brain is past it and could do with metamorphosing into something better. That would be gneiss..... (sorry).
