- Jason and the staff socialise a litter of feral puppies so that they can get used to humans. Their mother develops a respiratory infection from heart-worm, and someone needs to help her so the puppies don't starve.
Give Me Shelter puts the viewers in the middle of a no-kill rescue shelter. From rescue runs to save hopeless animals, to successful adoption events, to the private thoughts of the characters involved, the audience will intimately experience it all.

I have been doing rescue for over fifty years. All my children always had at least one baby in their bed. I have a feral cat rescue in Monticello, AR and they love the way they get to live. Lots up for adoption, but I keep them until they get great homes.

Katniss dog had a rough one, from overcrowded shelter to another slightly less overcrowded shelter that wasn't open admission at least, to blatantly sick to finally having a foster to house her til she'd be formally adopted
and yay success for the feral puppies, and dedication of lost free personal time to get them acclimated to humans
That's true animal love I'm so proud of him for staying and taking care of those puppy's

Great job, sleeping with the one puppy, but the other puppies that were not touched, stayed huddled together & scared of him.
If that was all he was going to do, he might just as well have taken the one puppy home with him.
_That way, at least the other puppies would not have spent the night scared of the stranger in the room._
@@moodyrick8503 you can say what you will but love doesn't happen over night so to speak and after all he risk his job to save them in the first place if he didn't really love animals he would not even try he could have just left them out there to die I don't know the man but he is awesome for what he is doing what would you have done ?

@@moodyrick8503 it's just that you seem to think he's not helping them to but even bri ginger them in helped them and I'm sure they will be working with them also something like that takes baby steps I worked in a vets office a long time and wild puppy's are sometimes harder then wild adults it's a hard heartbreaking job so every bit of encouragement you get is well needed and does help in that line of work I know I rescue and rehome on my own from my home

When the mother gives birth give her puppy food it helps her gain weight back that she lost when she had the puppies

I'm confused many years ago I raised and bred rough collies. I would never have had a litter I couldn't feed etc. Is this the new, 'I made a mistake, can you yon help me program'? I'm simply asking the question that's all.
@@lindakienle531 how long are folks’s going to deny knowing how babies are made? That’s my burning question. And, do they know how expensive puppies are to raise? From day one to adoption day, it’s a lot. If you don’t got the funds, be honest firstly. Secondly, instead of asking for money on YouBoob/social media, find people that can afford care of your 6+ doggo + puppers family. Cuz I’m sure that they’re asking for money on their other SM accounts. Nuttin inherently wrong with DIY gofundme fundraising. It’s just not typically done. Looks like begging. Be more part of the solution than asking for free money/materials.

They are spaying puppies that are still nursing? I have never heard of doing this to such young animals.

Is kennel cough due to the lack of cleanliness in kennels? Maybe shelters need to do a better job at keeping their kennels clean! IDK.
Kennel cough is spread by aerosolized particles from an infected dog, either through direct contact or through exposure to surfaces that an infected dog has had contact with. So it doesn't matter how clean the surfaces are because it can still spread just from being in the same building.

Yeah, and they don't really seem that feral. They look like lab puppies. I get feral cats but when you get puppies at that age I don't think they're really feral.

Take your blinders off‼️ I came back from a long trip to find a momma feral cat had kittens on my front patio…I tried catching them,to be scratched, Bitten….they were Crazy ‼️ I only wanted to take them to a pet rescue ( No kill)‼️ I think puppies would be way easier to deal with. I get pissed at cats wandering & feral…as I love feeding my beautiful bird friends….I was Super pissed to find all the bird feathers … even a little squirrel tail‼️ & people who let their cats wander because their too damned Lazy to change their kitty boxes ☹️😡‼️ Do you watch the news when Puppy Mills are shut down & seen the Horrible situations????? Get your head outta the sand (&I’m being nice)‼️ Or just Don’t watch these channels ‼️‼️‼️
