I started work on this ranking this past summer... I kept changing it and changing it AND CHANGING IT! Enough is enough. I will probably never have a proper list seeing as I keep changing my mind. But I doubt my number 1 will ever change!
Yes, I agree a lot with your number one! I love Sylwia because of Studio Accantus, but I really feel she's a perfect Belle!
Interisting ranking :D I have to be honest, never expected to see both Spanish versions so lower, but I see you don't like modern voices for this Belle, and so yes those singers have a more modern sound. But I actually like how modern and yet elegant and fairy-tale like those singers can sound. I guess it's just a matter of taste ;) . I don't find in Vesela's voice a teenage modern sound, I actually think her voice sounds really classic among all of this modern voices. I understand your words on Emmylou, now I've realized how childish she can sound, almost disconnect to the character (but I still like her singing overall). I love Wang's soft and sophisticated singing, it feels so calm but so suitable on Belle! I would not place Inês so higher, I think she lacks emotions and her singing could be more outstanding (I know she can sound better though, as Elena she is terrific). Thans for Korean, Thai, Flemish, Swedish, Hebrew, Italian (though I'm surprised to see her so high since she has a modern voice as well) and Polish
As always, your video has the power to lighten up my night. I liked the small intro, is unusual of you not to immediately beging the ranking, but it's a nice change!
Some of your choices were bizarre (Emmylou and the Spanish girls low), but I must say that we agree much more than I expected! I think that's because of your comments, they're usually really accurate and fair so I cannot not see your point. Your comments on Latin Spanish, Czech, Slovak and Norwegian especially, could've been mine :)

This is the highest I've seen Hungarian and lowest with Bulgaria. I agree with French and Italian, disagree with Emma. I can't make up my mind with Flemish. An unique number one. Great editing, it's always great to hear your opinions.

I wonder why Madhurra came off as 'strained' to you....cuz honestly she doesn't strain a single world throughout the film. In fact, that's probably the issue with her....she sang veeeery effortlessly which came off borderline boring perhaps, but she didn't really push or strain anywhere.
Anyways, great ranking other than that.. surprised to see both Spanish versions low, but it's true Melissa sounds very modern.
I realize that strained was the wrong word, I should have said forced or unsteady. She doesn't sound like a singer to me, and it sounds like she's struggling a bit at times. I used "strained" as in : she's trying, but doens't quite manage it, if this makes sense. I still stand by my placement.

Don't worry I don't have any issue with the placement, just with the way you judged her voice. Madhurra is indeed a singer, a professional and well trained one I can assure you that. But she's not a musical theatre oriented singer, she's into Indian classical more.....hence belting isn't her forte...which is why she may come off unsteady to you. It's still not strained though, even by the standards of musical theatre. Strain is almost like painful screaming, the best example being idina's Oscars high note of let it go....Madhurra isn't straining, but her voice isn't supported by Broadway standards.
I have forgotten this live action movie, despite that I am not so familiar with Belle's voices. My main disaggrement is Italian, she is too theatrical for me, too much passion, too much drama, simply too much 😊. I am glad that Russian isn't on the last places and thank you for Alexandra!!! Great video and very unique choices!
I'm one of the people who look past Emma's auto tuned voice. I don't hear the auto tune at all! Even though she's not perfect I love her voice anyway, in my opinion! 😍
Finally, someone giving praise to the greek version. I've seen too many rankings which place Alexandra in last place.
I've got the same thoughts about German and Castillian versions, great video tho i'm not that familiar with the voices!!

I really hate Italian version in beauty and the beast she does not like this dub much for her own voice and vocals she really sounds like a a scream😱screeching vocalize like an owl my percent is below 3% percent of belle’s voice is not good enough for me not my taste she her ability to sing better ilaria is not my fav voice
