Well done just be aware it not easy getting u first job as hgv driver i did my test in Feb (class2) but I signed on with agency to get exp before i go for a full time job (due to most companies insurance reasons of been a new pass driver many dont want to know even if theres a shortage of drivers ) your first year is the hardest....
Hi Gareth. I know it’s tough to get a Job. There are companies taking on New drivers, and willing to give people a chance. I guess we just need to be persistent with our efforts. If the companies don’t give new drivers a chance, how will they get there experience on the road? It’s silly if they are turning you away, or not giving you a chance. We all deserve a chance, especially if your showing initiative. I hope you find what your looking for soon buddy 👍
This video Makes me feel better about getting my first hgv job I had an interview, it lasted an hour then 2 days later I was offered it. No driving assessment or anything. Told to pick my own start date and let them know when I can do an assessment. That happened on Monday coming then I start the following Monday. Nervous about it though.
@@billyhgvuk u will need to start buying camera mounts for putting ur cameras on while ur driving the lorry then u can do ur RUclips vlogging for trucking
Glad to hear about your success mate. I passed my Class 2 earlier today and this has put me to ease in regards to looking for a job. Although i've done my own homework regarding driver hours and the likes of tachos, it wasn't covered atal whilst doing my lessons or tests and it gives me a head ache just reading about it. Was this something that the company went through with you?
Excellent news Billy, you deserve it keep em coming 👍
