    Anyone else thinking what a great fly fishing chest pack system this thing could be? I’ll be wearing this with bino’s in the fall and winter on my Bowhunts and in the spring and summer on the river.
    Great 2-way product!

    Just upgraded my original kuiu harness with the pro harness. Much better design. I love the lightweight minimalist style of these harnesses, i just could not stand having the over the shoulder straps connected directly to the binos. I had to take the whole harness off every time i wanted to glass from a tripod. Loving the new design and can say im truly happy with it now.

    I prefer an outward-opening range finder pouch design. I need to be able to access my range finder and quickly dump it right back into the pouch, which requires the lid to remain open. This manner of use is made more difficult with the way this current design functions. That's my only critique of this system. Otherwise, it looks really good. I particularly like the bendable/shapeable wire that conforms the bino compartment to my particular binos. Good work, Kuiu.

    I'd like to see a rangefinder pouch with a lid similar to the bino harness, i.e. like the Adek. That style lid is faster and easier to operate.

      I agree. Need one that sits sideways, integrated into the main bino pouch, so you dont have to angle it back into its holster.

    Cool, only the second bino harnes/pouch system that has a hydration pack that is attachable, perfect for when you may be gone for a few hours but not miles away from the vehicle. Food and water plus a few other items for just hunting and not backpacking. I have the AGC bino pouch with their hydration bladder and like it alot but yours being waterproof and lighter material makes it interesting.

    ticked every single box. the only thing I think they could have improved is an 1-2 inch piece of elastic webbing near the buckles to allow the harness to expand slightly when layering up and adding bulk. FHF harness does this and I love it. Other then that Kuiu nailed it with this harness cant wait till mine comes in!

    • @kuiuultralight
      @kuiuultralight  5 лет назад

      Hey Jesse--the side buckles are designed to slide easily to allow adjustments for layering, for exactly the reason you outlined.

    SE Alaska review. Velcro wets out on bottom making it not “waterproof.” Not SE AK waterproof anyways. Also the Velcro from the bottom pocket attachment, catches and rips out threads on Kuiu pro 200 merino hoodie. My hoodie has be thrashed harder from the Velcro than busting through brush. Since it can’t handle the weather here and it ruins my hoodie, I run the Sitka one, as it has to be under my rain gear anyways. Wish they would get away from the Velcro on the bottom! Noisy if you bump anything that pulls against pouch, makes it not completely “waterproof,” destroys expensive hoodie from same company. If they closed off the bottom and added a pouch of some sort on the back for license/tags would be best on the market! Unique climate here tho. Excited to try the Stone

  • @MD-173
    @MD-173 2 года назад +1

    did you guys fix the issue of 1) the Bino straps that dangle from the binos when detached and put on tripod. NEVER EVER EVER have dangling whips or straps. Think like a Hunter! and 2) It doesn't sit high enough on chest. It MUST be adjustable so that it can sit on the sternum and NOT hang lower than rib cage onto the stomach AT ALL. Fix these two mistakes EVERY HUNTER wants fixed and you'll have the best. And stop making range finder pouches or any pouches that don't open forward just like the Bino Compartment! How you didn't get this right is crazy.

  • @ralphbuoncristiani2941

    So the accessory pouches (ammo and range finder) are set over the chest buckles? Just got mine and can't figure out how to set this up to allow easy access to the buckles without having to move the pouches. The accessory pouches have a nylon loop and an open-able latch. Can you show how you attach these?

  • @drzman6901

    I use my binocs for birding. I do long hikes and keeping weight down is important to me because of a heavy camera, water, etc. I want to buy the L-size harness because it is 45 gr lighter than the XL. My Zeiss Victory SF 10x42 is 6-15/16" long (with the eye-relief cups where I want them). This bino fits tightly into an RMEF chest harness because of the stretchable latch tie. The L-size KUIU case measures even longer than the RMEF, and it would appear to work okay? I would have to use the XL size with pads which would add even more weight. Question: do I need to get the XL size for my binos, or will the L size work? TIA.

    • @kuiuultralight
      @kuiuultralight  4 года назад +1

      The backpack attachment is not really deep enough to fit arrows on its own, but if you have an arrow tube that is compatible with a MOLLE-style webbing clip, you could easily clip it to one side or the other of the pack, or possibly to the compression straps.

    Will the Stalker 500 work with the attachments on this new rig?

    • @kuiuultralight
      @kuiuultralight  5 лет назад +1

      The Stalker 500 does not *officially* work with it, because it doesn't have the mesh retainer on the center of the bag that holds the rear harness (see the attachment tutorial: ruclips.net/video/B2nJraEwVmc/видео.html ). However, the attachment clips at the top are the same, and would attach to the Hypalon tabs, and the Stalker 500 does have the same webbing loops down the side of the bag that the side straps would slip through. It might not be quite as secure as the Hydration Rig if you did this, but it might work.

    • @kuiuultralight

      Many holsters should be able to clip onto the webbing, but the weight might make it challenging to wear comfortably. Beyond that, designing holsters for the wide range of sidearms on the market is pretty far out of our scope, given the amount of existing holster manufacturers. We do also have a strap on our pack waist belts designed to hold a sidearm.
