    Hey little richard dont forget to check ur shear key and keyway and grab magnifing glass and look for micro cracks which also get bigger when warmed up lol, just a gentle reminder of QSO lol

    Never heard of T Mike but my 3.9 had a problem with the fuel pump. The fuel pump couldn't keep up with the float bowl. It would run decent enough and then die after a bit of running. Hit the primmer ball and it would fire up and do the same. Parts are available but at the same time hard to find. Mine is from 1966 and just looks pretty on the stand. Nice video see you around.

    Mornin Rick just so you and everyone else knows that parts are still available to buy and one person who's well known is "t Mike" on you tube who also walks you through the repairs and yuppers it's all he does is the old marine motors, so hope the info helps,

    I stayed through the whole video and im going to check something out then I'll give you a call later ok but a suggestion is check out t Mike's page as he works on these all day long and as for I'm in refresher mode lol, cause I'm fixing up a late 50's early 60's johnson 9.9 and if I'm right it was the cracked flywheel and worn flywheel key, as for your idle issue t Mike shows you how to adjust and fine tune your idle with just a couple screws on your throttle advance anyhow look at Mikes video it will show you easier than I can explain lol later my friend
