I would like to know the answer to this, too. I’m considering buying a Hifu device… Probably a medical grade one. For home personal use would you recommend the medical grade HIFU , a mini HIFU and which one, or this device? Thanks!
I would. Partly because it comes with inbuilt safety settings that ensure each treatment is performed optimally and safely. And partly because I feel it delivers better results in the short and long term. Lastly, as the Mini HiFu 2 is hard to find outside of Europe now, this is a worthy alternative ❤️

I’ve been using this device and Medicube’s EMS device for the past several months. Something’s working but I don’t know which device is responsible. I guess that’s one downside of starting a new regimen with multiple things. Lol. The only concern that I have is I developed broken capillaries on my cheek area since I started using these devices and I’m not sure which device caused it. My dermatologist recommended I get IPL treatments to treat it.

One thing that I think needs to be mentioned about the Medicube company is that, if you live outside the US and plan to purchase from the US website, their one year warranty of the device will not apply to your purchase because their return, reshipping, and replacement policy do not cover online purchases made outside the USA. I learned this the hard way when I lost the charging cradle of my Ussera device. It would also be good to mention in the reviews that unlike all the other Medicube devices which can be charged just by plugging a cable directly to the device, the Ussera needs to be plugged to a charging cradle which comes with the box when you purchase the device. It also needs to be told that the charging cradle is not sold separately by Medicube, so if anything happens to your charging cradle, if it's within warranty (1 year from the date of purchase) Medicube US says they will replace your charger if you live in the US. But if you damaged, or lost your charger, and if you live outside of the US, your device becomes pretty much useless unless you can buy the charging cradle somewhere else, which I haven't managed to do.
Hi TJ I have a mini HIFU device, but I don't feel comfortable using it because it overheats. Do you recommend getting this one instead? By the way, I have the Booster Pro and I really love it; it has transformed my skin.
The USSERA is far superior in performance and comfort. I wouldn't be without mine. Likewise, I feel exactly the same with my Booster Pro. It really did level up my skin care routine. ♥️
So how does this compare to 2nd generation hifu? i have both. Usage frequency ? Deep shot for multiple times a week and 2nd gen HIFU device for once a month? You mentioned you would compare these 2 at the start of your video 😊
Hi. While both use similar kinds of technology, the Deep Shot has been designed with regular use in mind. The frequency has been optimised to work without risking fat loss, pain and irritation and comes with in-built protection from overuse. Obviously, the beeps let you know where you are in terms of shots administered and it is sized to reach all of the important parts of the face and neck comfortably. The Hifu 2 lacks the safety features and shot output regulation, but offers an affordable alternative to many. My only real issue with the mini hifu is that it is no longer sold in The USA for reasons unknown (pulled from the market) which leads me to think it possibly doesn't follow manufacturing standards? But I honestly prefer the Deep Shot in terms of ease of use, routine scheduling (twice weekly) and end results. Hope this helps.
Another great video! Does this affect fillers? I lack volume in my cheeks under the orbital bone, which enhances the appearance of eyebags. Was hoping to address this with RF and fillers.
I love that feeling of anticipation when a new device is on charge! Enjoy it! You're going to love the results over the next few weeks and months. (Be sure to take a few before photos to really see your progress. When we see ourselves in the mirror everyday, those changes don't register with us) ❤️
I am sure you have heard of Thermage? I understand that Thermage (also RF) cools the skin but sends heat deep under the skin. I guess a home device like the Ussera Deep Shot does not do that? And will this cause the epidermis to be cooked by heat if device gets too hot for there? And if we then do a lower setting, then the deeper layers won't be able to get the desired effect of collagen generation? Even with very costly Thermage, I have seen mixed reviews. So I wonder if this Ussera Deep Shot will really work? BTW I just see that it is on clearance on some reputable website. I wonder why it is now on clearance.
I’m going to sell my Deep Shot. I used it for 8 months (2-3x per week) on only my neck and forehead. No improvement. I just paid💰for Thermage which is what I was trying to avoid with Deep Shot. Deep Shot made the melasma on my forehead worse so it canceled out the CoolPeels I had done earlier in the year. So this was a waste of time and money in more ways than one.
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. I, and many others, have had great results with the deep shot so it's always a shame when it's not delivered for some. It's so helpful for me to hear when it's not working for people s well as I get a better understanding of how accurate any company claims may be too. Thanks again. (How do you feel the Thermage has helped? I'm super curious to hear about this one)
you look amazing! I was wondering: I just got my device and I read that it's an 80 shot treatment 3 times a week but is it ok to do 10 shots every day? 😅 I'm not sure if I missed it in your video
Thanks for your question! 😊 I use the USSERA device weekly, as it already includes radio frequency (RF). For my pro RF device, I’ve reduced the frequency to about once every 3 months now. This routine keeps my skin in great shape without overdoing it! Have you tried combining different devices in your routine?
@@TJTutorials hi!! Yes I currently use Lumo by evenskyn, but only using the Radio Frequency mode so 5 minutes twice a week. I’ve been eyeing on this ussera and I finally just bought it because it was on sale for labor day lol. Now I dont know how to include it with my Lumo routine..

TJ, I've begun using my Usera Deep Shot 3 times a week. I'm seeing my submentum shrinking and my jaw line is sharpening. I also have a flexible neck/face LED mask. I've begun this week to use my Usera on my scalp area where I have male parrern baldness (along with a concoction of copper peptide, biotin, rosemary oil, and minoxidil) I also have an LED helmet. My question is, can you glide the Deep Shot along prefered facial angles versus "stamping" it? And I read somewhere that HIFU helps to stimulate hair follicles. Do you think it can help me in my hair regrowth journey?
I purchased this device, your video helped, do you think getting a hifu device as well as this or no need for it also can I still use RF device the same week as this device. Thank you 🙏
@@TJTutorials oMG you replied to me. I almost emotional as I am a fan. If I am not bothering you too much I want to buy the NEWA is it true they have a newer version called NEWA 2?
No because this device can’t reach deep enough to reach the subcutaneous fat so it’s safe to use at home. Micro needling + RF is something that can kill fat since the needles reach deep enough to deliver the energy to melt fat.
Hiiii ☺️ I've noticed any targeted fat loss after using this device for more than six months. As mentioned above, this device is designed to work in the upper and mid layers of the skin rather than the fat layer :)
Hi, could you please tell me which device you'd recommend that works with radio frequency only ? I had 2 hifu treatments so for now i am looking a pure radio-frequency device! Please help me expert🙏😊 greetings from Germany!
This is primarily ultrasound-enhanced radiofrequency for home use. The High Focus Shot is highly focussed and precise clinic-grade HIFU (no RF included) and is wayyyyy more powerful.
@@TJTutorials I still haven't got enough money yet for the High Focus Shot but I want to start any ultrasound device now. Would it still be wise to get Userra Deep Shot or should I just wait until I saved up enough money for High Focus Shot? Please advise.
I'm so sorry, I literally get hundreds every day so I don't always see them. It really shouldn't cause fat loss, but I always say that if you're concerned about that and your face is already gaunt, perhaps a different approach to skincare is a better fit, something like microneedling with science-backed topical skincare products and LED light therapy.
Hello.. Can i Use Medicube Age-R Ussera & Mini Hifu 3 in 1 3rd Generation Both Devices For Skin Tightening Wrinkles & Fine Lines, Or Should I Have To Use Just One Of Them?
The USSERA is similar to HiFU and RF (the two treatments the Booster Pro is missing). Obviously, it's a personal choice about whether you want to add these treatments into your skincare routine. But I would not be without my userra device 😁
@@gabaranxtha great question. It can easily be used over stubble. But for hair thicker than around half an inch, the frequency is going to struggle to penetrate unless you use a really generous amount of conductive gel.
@@TJTutorials ooh that was fast, thankyou for your response. I have pretty dense beard around 1 inch, so let's say i shave it (either clean or stubble), is it save use it after shaving ? or should i wait like a day, for example? and which one you recommend, this or medicube age r booster (that black one) ?
Thank you your response. I used it first time and my face has been achy. My jawline was achy too. My skin feels good however I am concerned if I should keep or return back. This is my first time using any device on face.
The heat from the mini hifu was more from RF than HiFU. This is opposite and most of the work is happening in the deeper layers. While it's true that the intensity may not feel as hot, the USSERA has outperformed the mini hifu over the years giving me longer lasting results. 😊
@@TJTutorials You look absolutely amazing! Your methods are definitely working. I looked at some of your previous videos and you are the definition of aging backwards lol. Thanks for sharing ;))
You're welcome 😁 You absolutely can. You'll want to wait for about 20 days after having it done before using the USSERA, just so it doesn't lose its potency before it has a chance to work on the muscles. But after the toxin has started to work, USSERA is fine to use 😁
Hi 😊 Yes, this is exactly the same treatment as HiFu, but optimised and with additional features to minimise any undesirable side effects. It also features RF too.
Do you use this device on the skin under your eyes, TJ? Don't think I saw it in the video. I wonder if it will hurt for someone who has dental implants or silver fillings. Do you know of about good RF device that really works for that area? Please don't tell me it's the China made triangular machine you first bought 🤣.. that one will burn my skin and kill me 😂.
Hi. Radio frequency can cause fat loss, but this is usually associated with extremely high intensity output machines in clinical settings - often used incorrectly. The majority of home use devices are not as powerful and come with in-built safety functions to help minimize the risk of any damage or injury. When I do microneedling, I do it after a radio frequency treatment. 😊

Absolutely, but it's more designed for using in the face so would take a lonnnnnnggggggg time to work. Maybe RF would be better and work faster 🙂
I wasn’t aware that high frequency is the same as radio frequency. I thought they are two different things.
Can you use this after getting threads done on your cheeks?
I believe so. But you would be better off confirming this with your aesthetic practitioner who laid your threads 😊
can you use it in bearded skin ?
@@gabaranxtha great question. It can easily be used over stubble. But for hair thicker than around half an inch, the frequency is going to struggle to penetrate unless you use a really generous amount of conductive gel.
@@TJTutorials ooh that was fast, thankyou for your response.
I have pretty dense beard around 1 inch, so let's say i shave it (either clean or stubble), is it save use it after shaving ? or should i wait like a day, for example?
and which one you recommend, this or medicube age r booster (that black one) ?
Is the same as the mini hifu?
Hi. It's very similar. Same kind of technology, but optimised for safety for home users. 😁
Does your face feel achy after using deep shot?
It does in certain places, especially around the upper cheek area. I've actually stopped using it there now and only using it for the jawline.
Thank you your response.
I used it first time and my face has been achy. My jawline was achy too. My skin feels good however I am concerned if I should keep or return back. This is my first time using any device on face.
@@2001manisha hello, did you keep doing it or did you stop ?
I just received mine... I think the mini hifu was way way way more powerful than this....I can barely feel any heat from it.
The heat from the mini hifu was more from RF than HiFU. This is opposite and most of the work is happening in the deeper layers. While it's true that the intensity may not feel as hot, the USSERA has outperformed the mini hifu over the years giving me longer lasting results. 😊
Do you mind if i ask your age or maybe age bracket? No offense if you choose not to answer. Thanks
I'm almost 43 🙂
@@TJTutorials You look absolutely amazing! Your methods are definitely working. I looked at some of your previous videos and you are the definition of aging backwards lol. Thanks for sharing ;))
@@TJTutorials you look much younger body . Well done 👏🏽
My device doesn’t make this sound that I hear in this video
What kind of sound is your device making?
Hi! Thank you for a very informative video. Can I use Ussera if I have Botox injected?
You're welcome 😁 You absolutely can. You'll want to wait for about 20 days after having it done before using the USSERA, just so it doesn't lose its potency before it has a chance to work on the muscles. But after the toxin has started to work, USSERA is fine to use 😁
@@TJTutorials thanks! I’m relived. Can’t wait for my Ussera to arrive 😊.
Is this equal to hifu?
Hi 😊 Yes, this is exactly the same treatment as HiFu, but optimised and with additional features to minimise any undesirable side effects. It also features RF too.
Do you use this device on the skin under your eyes, TJ? Don't think I saw it in the video. I wonder if it will hurt for someone who has dental implants or silver fillings. Do you know of about good RF device that really works for that area? Please don't tell me it's the China made triangular machine you first bought 🤣.. that one will burn my skin and kill me 😂.
Can this cause fat loss? Some people have said that rf has cause fat loss. How deep into the dermis does it go? Any info would be greatly appreciated
And can you get microneedling done when using this or should u stop for a bit? Again thanks for any info
Thank you for the reply 😊 I've been looking at this and the newa device for jowls and neck laxity which one would you recommend? For tightening results. Or would you recommend an in office treatment?
What is causing your skin to be firm
The device and the other RF devices he uses
A mix of Hifu, RF, EMS, Microcurrent and Microneedling 😁
What is your favorite skin tightening machine ? Is this it ??
My favourite skin tightening technology is radio frequency. I'm currently a little bit obsessed with the NEWA RF.
@@TJTutorials thanks for the replies.
@@TJTutorials Hi TJ, OMG, you look the best I have seen you look in years! :) I have a question for you...If you could use only 1 anti-aging device that you own for the rest of your life what would that device be?
Humble request
I heard alot about medicube age r booster H and air shot
I see booster H use electroporation technology and airshot use electric microneedling
In my country both these device are sky rocketung price as I have to import form korea
So can you tell me any other low budget device which use same technology in $100-120
Hi, let me take a look at some more generic devices and see what I can find. There has to be something out there. 😊
