How would you choose a tripod to pair with the Z8 and Z180-600?
Depends on the addons and the environment you are located. If you are adding additional accessories like external battery or monitor with mic setup. Depends on a lot of factors. I wouldnt go too light unless there is a harness to pull down the tripod to the ground.
If your filming at 600mm , you will need a stable tripod with a stable head that is heavy because any shake can affect the video.
I remember thinking early days, I used the cheapest of the tripod on the market, and I regret every monent. That moment I couldnt recreate if I wanted to so I ended up buying more suitable gear. Midrange $500 . Theres some nice ones at $200 these days but dont go below that.
