That arm came out way better than I expected it to

Next step would've been milling a completely new set of arms from 2" x 1" bar stock.. Would've been a bit of work. Thanks for the comment

I was on the verge of building one, until I ran across this one! They are extremely useful machines, and mine has let me focus more on the detail work, and produce higher quality pieces in less time.

I know it's nitpicky, but I cringe every time you pronounce "treadle" with the long e sound. It's pronounced with a short e, just like in boot tread, tire tread, treadmill, or "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." All the same root word and pronunciation.
Otherwise, great video. Love to see old, beat-up tools getting repaired and put back into service rather than going to the scrapyard, or worse, the landfill. I love watching your anvil restorations, too. :)

Your insight provides a different facet to this discussion. I've heard people pronounce it both ways! Similar to Turbine of "Turban", it all depends on what part of the country you're in. Glad to hear you like the videos! Just posted an ACME anvil restoration last night. Thanks for the detailed description on how to pronounce treadle, and thanks for the comment!
