tank controls were necessary in the original to keep control consistent between camera angles. while i do like tank controls, i don't feel that they would be right for an overhead isometric game. kind of seems like an unnecessary hurdle for players to deal with. of course, this is your project and you can do what you want, i just expect that people may be frustrated with this decision. overall this is still great work, i'll be following the project's progress as always.
@@PSCDGames not really. it’s the same controls but in an entirely different context. the original game was built around tank controls, they went hand-in-hand with the fixed cameras, and worked because it was a 3D game. but isometric games are established to work with simple directional controls, like super mario rpg for example. i’m just saying that tank controls aren’t necessary in the style you’re going for, and i imagine players will go into the game expecting the usual directional controls and be annoyed that it uses tank controls. in my opinion, it over-complicates things, because you’re using a control scheme made for 3D games in your 2D game.
Очень классно, не могу дождаться когда можно будет поиирать в это. Мегадрайв такой графон не потянет. Это какая то расширенная версия получается? Тоесть на ПК и MD выйдут 2 разные версии?
I have nothing against tank controls on the original game. It works well for me. I'm not sure about how it will work on this isometric view, specially given that it only have the 8 directions to go. I'd be curious to test though.

Why did you decide to switch to the PC version? The true merit of this game is that it works on a real megadrive and thus fought against the limits of the machine, if you do it on PC it will only be one more version like all the games that are there in a real engine that imitate the graphics of PS1 and choose the easy way, I understand that on a PC it will be much easier for you to program it but it will have much less value
This will be valuable on any platform, since there are a huge number of RE fans and not everyone can play on SMD. And on PC there is a huge base of those who can easily play it. And there is nothing that can be overcome on SMD, this is a regular isometric engine on which the game is made.
@@PSCDGames It's fine if you launch it on both platforms, remember that everyone can play MegaDrive on a PC with an emulator, but not the other way around. I'm telling you this because I've already seen great projects for video game consoles in the past and they have ended up being done on PC for the ease of programming and forgetting the original and portable system, I hope it continues on both platforms, greetings friend.
@@PSCDGameslight crusader & sonic 3d blast type engine right .?.. Waiting for this so badly . The zombies need to stuff and slide back when hit with bullets like them old. NES characters 😂 And they need to grab and bite. Not swipe their hands ..
I would actually prefere (to at least have an option to choose) tank controls in an isometric level design because most of the time you would be moving diagonally, not up/down/left/right. And it also adds to the classic feel of the original game, so... yeah, it should feel natural in here.
This looks fascinating.
I can't f-ing wait to play this
You guys are doing an amazing job with the game it looks awesome I can't wait to see the finished product
I love tank controls 👍🏻
Me too.
Excellent work, do love these isometric games.
Thank you.
Sega Mega Drive? Impressive! Good job.
This video contains the PC version.
I will be buying a copy when it is done for sure
We will not sell the game, better support the game on Patreon - www.patreon.com/PSCDgames
Yes! Tankcontrols 😎
Да))
@@PSCDGames when the Genesis version is complete, I will be very happy 😸👍👍
If this game was like this in Gameboy advance it will so nice to play one of this old graphics style in 2024
That looks cool 😎 🎮 I totally would play this game if its complete
Well, it's not finished yet)))
@@PSCDGames I figured that it’s not finished. I was saying if it is, I would play the game.
Super excited
Thanks
That's awesome!
Just like the GameBoy Color game!!
I'm just SO used to tank controlls, ya know?
Well, yes, if we can add both types of controls to the game, we’ll add them. But I also love tank controls.
Esse game é uma obra prima. Não pare, continue.
Thank you, let's move)))
Michael Jackson Moonwalker arcade gameplay could work
this game i would like in a cartridge
Hello. We do not plan to release it on a cartridge yet, since the final size of the game file is not yet clear.

Нет, тут как раз графика мегадрайв

No, it was created on its own engine.

Megadrive ou pc?
Both I think

I think it will be good))) Of course, it won’t be so smooth if you add 8 more corners, but maybe by the end we will tighten this point.
I think it will look even more awesome on old fat TV screen
I am 100 percent sure of this.

This is not a bug, this is a feature)))
I hope this game be completed very soon, i wish i could play complete in my SEGA genesis (mega drive)
We are trying very hard to finish it. We really want to fully play this game.
That music no no no no no

aceptan crypto DOLAR USDT O USDC ??? QUIERO DONAR
Eww please make these optional LOL
I suspect we have enough buttons on a 6-button to pull off walking backwards without tank controls.
Tank controls in an isometric game is a terrible idea. Just stick to 2D controls. Or even mouse controls.
Thanks for the advice, but no.
"Mouse control" my egg.

@@GraaD-872D Controls are unarguably more intuitive in any game that isn't in first person, but especially 2D games.
