Just done a boot review video and I did say I needed a real lightweight boot that would be both comfortable and have a reliable and deep tread. To be honest they do look a real nice boot but it is always the price of Scapa that has always put me off giving them a try out. I have and use spikes but never crampons, so a useful and interesting demonstration, cheers Alan
@@eointuohy4046HD version, which is in suede leather is just warmer and possibly more durable. It weights a little more than lite version of course. No other differences.
If you are intending to wear thick socks then it would bee good to explore the size up. sadly with EU sizing it can sometimes be a big jump in size so it would be worth testing them in the house before taking them out!
I’m a size 44 but got size 45. When I first tried them on I was thinking I needed to have got the 46’s. They felt really tight. Wore them in the Lake District and put 11 easy miles in them and they loosened up. After a few days scrambling I could get my thick winter socks on with them no problem. Great boot and really comfortable. Great grip but pretty stiff.
These are nice but considerably stiffer and clunkier for all-around boots I prefer the lasportiva aequilibriums but these are very nice too. The Ribelle techs are garbage
This is the lite version... For winter use or summer alpine 4000 I suggest the Ribelle HD version, which is in leather and it's way warmer. Price is very similar, ~10€ difference

Thanks for the great video, been looking all over for one like this! Really hesitating now between the Ribelle lite and the Manta tech now!
So glad the video could help! Two great boots. Do you have any questions we could help with?
could I ask what is the difference between this and the non lite version of the ribelle?
To my knowledge the Ribelle moves to a suede upper rather than synthetic
@@tauntonleisure thanks, are there many other major differences or would to say their essentially the same then?

Can you please tell me, Is it made of any leather? If not i am buying one.
Hi, this boot does not contain any leather, and is part of Scarpa's Vegan range of boots
Are these accurate sizing, also would you recommend a size up?, as I'll be using a thick wool sock. Thanks

Was this the lite version or the leather one? I was having doubts about the lite stretching as its all synthetic @@norsemandave2030
Is it pretty stiff? I prefer a stiff sole.
Yes these boots are very stiff
Are the boots ok for the Mera Peak cold or do I need something warmer
These boots are not really suitable for that, they would not be warm enough.
How would these be for 4000 metre peaks?
Hi, this boot would not be warm enough for 4000m,.
