Long time friends fo DSI TV and Current World, UK, International and British Professional Latin Champions Riccardo & Yulia have announced their Imminent Retirement From competing.
The Latin Icons made their final appearance at a Major championship here in England and are due to retire after the World Championships in Miami.
Enjoy their Final Honour Dance as International Champions which is field with warmth and love. The admiration of not only the crowd, adjudicators and also their fellow competitors is really befitting of these 2 wonderful people.

Its going to be a long time before dance has another couple with such strength and style. It's so hard not to watch them. Congratulations on a fabulously successful career!
This couple is so classy. No one dances like them. They truly deserve every award, cause no one dances like them, they will be missed.

I discovered them late, but I enjoyed all their dances. I find them wonderful and very beautiful dancing. From Argentina my love and admiration for you Yulia and Ricardo.
My absolutely favorite professional dancers. Followed them on RUclips for many years. So happy to know they are now taking time to further enjoy life together, in retirement. Will be greatly missed in the dance world. But wish them so much joy in this new chapter of their lives.

This is a sad day! Beautiful, stunning and elegant dancers, they WILL be missed. I’ve been following Yulia for over 14 years and I was so happy her and Ricardo got together. I found their wedding video one day on RUclips, it was SO lovely. God bless them both on their new journey yes. Love you both! 💙😘😔

UniquelyMade. its interesting to me that so many of the complements and admiration of this ultra successful partnership is so often directed only at Yulia. Its as if Riccardo doesn't exist. I cant recall another world champion couple that is spoken about in such a lop sided manner. It doesn't say balanced, equal partnership to me. Having said that, I couldn't agree more with your comment about Yulia. This lady is extraordinary and showed throughout her entire career that she can do it all, and supremely well.
Joe Testa Ricardo is great too BUT she is the star of the coupling, no woman moves like her that I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen hundreds of Ricardo’s but only one Yulia. I’m just keeping it real.
UniquelyMade. Please don't misunderstand me. I completely agree with your sentiments 100%. For me this will go down in the history books as the second most successful dancesport partnership in history, but will it be remembered in time as one of the all time truly great balanced and equal partnerships, Like a Donny and Gaynor or Corky and Shirley. Its an interesting one its for the future to decide I guess.

Yam dale. Wow, tell me. where have you seen them do anything outside of the five Latin dances. Id love to see that. I know they can dance ballroom standard style but I've never seen them dance it together.

In dance sport it is VITALLY important not to insult your country, or the country of others.
If an American born in Kongo, cannot call USA his homeland, it is contrary to law. If he is mocked by someone that Kongo is his "homeland", it is criminal.
The President even has "Homeland" as the official name of his Cabinet Minister.
I have university exams in political science and international affairs, covering this field.
I have also university exams in English and American, (and thirdly, in religion and Christianity).Your so-called definition is NOT a government or international law definition.

Lizz G So is Riccardo, they both compliment each other so beautifully. Yulia danced with Max for 5 years and only won just one tournament whereas once she started dancing with Riccardo they immediately had success and never looked back, proving it doesn’t matter how could you are you have to have the right partner that fits you perfectly, that’s what Riccardo does for Yulia, he is amazing.
Oh man, I just discover them two weeks ago :(

To clarify: The International is not their last competition. It is their last competition in England. They will close out their competitive career with the WDC World Latin Championships in Doral, Florida on October 26.

@@lisastallingskeelor3328 they announced their retirement at this competition. though its not their last comp yet this is the last time they will show up at this comp. Their last comp is the world championship at the end of the month. But they wanted their farewell dance at this competition because it was their first competition as a couple when they partnered up.
Ok. So they will still be dancing . But no longer in WDC, right?
Gee Jaranilla. No. They will not dance competitions ever again in any association wdc or wdsf after the wdc world championships at the end of October in the usa. That's it! No more competition dancing. its possible they might continue to do shows. but no one knows yet what their full plans are. My bet is they will go and enjoy life as a married couple teach around the world and start a family.

When I first saw Yulia a few years ago with another, they did all these gimmicks and novelty acts. Pulled out all the stops to get attn and it worked. I liked all the couples before and after, too, but she has a knack for standing out and going bigger.

Much well deserved success and they have well and truly left they mark on the sport.. I admit to not always being a fan of a few aspects of Riccardo's dancing style, but in many regards they were also completely untouchable. I imagine raising a family may be well their next big challenge. Can you imagine the kids. Gorgeous and what a talent gene pool they may inherit. Thank you for the journey its been a ride. When i was a child i wanted to dance so bad. I would od loved if they could of taught me or now my kids the beauty, romance n love to dancing. So sad they retired. So happy they won again even when retiring. 🌺🐘🌺🐘
