Australians were clearly benefited and yet they protested as if Spain had bribed the referees. Disgusting people. The thief (and so do his great grand sons, apparently) believes that everybody is like him.
it was a wrong move on the part of the australian coach when he put in 2 players cold from the bench in the 2nd OT..Spain was really mentally tough and focused on their execution.

Australia, como siempre, sacudiendo estopa de lo lindo. Cómo se nota que maman de lo que hacen los americanos: puro físico y un quintal de faltas. Y tienen buen equipo como para jugar mucho mejor, pero... Bueno, es a lo que juegan. Correosos y competitivos, desde luego, pero no estilistas que se diga. Está claro que hay equipos que, independientemente de su técnica, que nadie la discute, se mantienen vivos en los partidos porque se les permite zurrar más de lo que se debería.
Y todavía tienen la cara dura de quejarse de los árbitros.

Una pena el bajón físico de Marc Gasol un año después en los JJOO... También el de Pau que no estaba para ir. Aunque la clave fue la injusticia del sistema y que fuera un sorteo el que nos mandó a jugar con USA...
La clave fue la pechofriada monumental que nos marcamos con Eslovenia, di las cosas como son.

partido que hace grande la celebracion de un mundial, en este caso de baloncesto, partido de sufrimiento para españa, que tuvo casi perdido, pero se supo levantar cuando mas dificil lo tenia, y despues se consiguio su 2 titulo mundial

Creo que despues de esto Españana no podía perder la FInal. Australia tenia mejor talento pero menos experiencia, Austrlia tenia el juego en la Bolsa y por nervios lo perdió. España acostumbrada a la presión en EuroBasket (Torneo durisimo), Austrlia solo juega en Asia donde no hay tanta parida en niveles, España solo tuvo paciencia y confianza.

No, and Simmons wasnt for Australia.
With the spanish absences that year, you make another team. Ibaka, Mirotic, Pau Gasol, Alex Abrines, Sergio Rodríguez. Almost better starters than the team who won the championship.

I've come here after Australia's Tokyo bronze. We had way too many turnovers and no post ups in this game. Landale should have had more minutes. Our Tokyo olympic performance was so much better.
