Once you receive the Holy Spirit, you are sealed until the day of redemption. That's once saved always saved. Salvation is not about how close you draw to Jesus, but whether or not you believe the gospel and are born again. That is why it is so easy a child can understand it.
Also, you don't seem to understand how bad the great tribulation period will be. It will be the worst time period in the history of the world and will ever be in the future. Most people will be dead, America will be split in two, probably a lot of europe and other countries will cease to exist, food and water will be available only to those who accept the mark.
There will be no time as you say to draw the impurities out of us, in fact it will just leave a lot of believers wondering where Jesus is when it is already said: read 1 Thess 5:1-11. That is not necessary anyway because it is the work of the holy spirit in us which convicts us of sin but as you say we still make mistakes so we are not perfect. If we all had to be perfect before going to see Jesus, no one would be going. It's the Holy Spirit in us that makes us perfect (receiving what His son did on the cross) in God's eyes.

Hi Matthew! Thank you for your comment. Can you please give me the verse that says, "Once you receive the Holy Spirit, you are sealed until the day of redemption"? Thank you kindly.
I most certainly do understand that the tribulation will be horrific, as the Bible says there is no time period, before or after, in all history that it can be likened to.
That's funny, we JUST read 1 Thessalonians 5 last night! :)
Right now and through the tribulation He will refine those of us left. "He who endures to the end will be saved."
"Be ye perfect (complete/fully mature) just as your Father in Heaven in perfect."

First of all listen to what you are saying," Someone saying this prayer " is that what it takes to be saved? I do not think you know how one saved, Think about that!
    # 2. you have no clue what the hek you are even talking about, look just go back and read scripture in context and you just might, I said Might be able to understand what you are reading, but there is always doubt that will come your way, so good luck!

I'm not sure you understand the video or heard what I was saying correctly. :)
