Wow, yeah! I was just a white kid from Strongsville but I remember somebody playing this on the left side of the dial (WCSB maybe?). Excellent memories of tagging and skateboarding, probably would look quite embarrassing now.
I've been looking for this song for about 40 years now! When I was about 10 years old, I recorded it off the radio on a cassette tape and always wanted the full version. I never had luck finding it since I was convinced it was a song from The Art of Noise. Thank you thank you thank you uploader!
Memories of my childhood in 1984'' 85'' The Breakdance Era- life was so fun and lit back then And all we had was Good music that is now Classics And precious memories too alot of us who grew up in that time🎶😎😎😎
I was in just getting out of middle school. I had the huge box that I walked around with. I have been looking for this song for over 15 yrs. Got it now Einstein.
Just watched the 1933 Little Rascals/Our Gang episode with the wild man from Borneo who kept saying Eat 'em up, Yum-Yum....Reminded me of this classic cut.
Man didn't seem like when B boy shit came out you just fell like you bout to change the world.and now look where would the world be with out hip hop ? Yum yum
This brings back so many memories, I had a 30+ minute mix of this, I even had my heavy metal friends jammin out to this, makes me wanna go get another red and black puma outfit 😂🤣
I have had this song in my head for 30 years. They need to play this at a NBA or NHL game. People would love it. Just run that beat. Get the crowd raved up. What year did this come out? 82?
I have to wonder if the scene from C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud (1989) where the zombies say just that - "Eat them up, Eat them up, YUM, YUM, YUM" was inspire by this... And if this was inspired by the little Rascals scene? Not sure how I missed this gem along the way but today was my first time hearing it :)
Maaan this song makes me wanna come out of breakdance retirement....been looking for this version for a loong tine..all I got was that sorry Tech n9ne version...
Omg!!! So crazy.i havent heard einstein forever.i have this still on a 45 i got back in the day when i was breakin.i bought some records at a record show and it was stuffed inside another record sleeve.it was a nice little bonus.we ended up making a little remix with it and made a routine to it.it came out kinda fresh too.oh those were the days.now breakin is in the olympics.go figure.im 50 now so it aint like im gonna try out.lol.
The label says 'Made in Belgium', which as you know is the home of New Beat so you make a good point. Also that synth line definitely sounds New Beatish.
Yo Yo Yo Ls Moe !!! All Skate !! USA Roller Rink Sunday nights was lit !! Miss my days back at WDMT Clubstyle ! Reach out to a brother would love to hear from my Old skool peeps ! Still Rock The 1's and 2's !! Cleveland Till The Casket Drops !!
CTNT . You had to hook your tv cable wire to your antenna on your receiver in order to pick up that channel.. and it was the only place where you could hear this tune on the air. And they will play it over and over and over. As it should be along with a good quality cassette on record and all the levels set to precision. The next step put it in the boombox and test it out.. Boom!! magic comes out of your speakers into your ears and out the door you go blasting until your 8 D cell batteries started to die while losing power you make adjustments to the bass to get out every watt you can until the tape starts to slow down.. lol. And you turn it off and go home only to plug it up into your bedroom wall.. and after a while mom tells you to turn that s*** down..😁😁. Those were the days
the year of my graduation... Uncle Jamms Army @ L.A. Sports Center... man before Crenshaw BLVD. it was FatBurger on La Cienega and San Vicente! But yall dont know nothin about that!!!
I was in the service and nobody, nowhere was playing this ,I bet this to clubs for DJ's to play CLUBS lost their minds This was the breaking and popping era I was VIP every Club
The Yum Yum part of this track is a play on an old little rascals short called The kid from Borneo. The black actor played a wild man from Borneo & when he saw candy he'd say YUM YUM Eat'em up. The short is now considered racist but it's funny as all get out.
The Forever Jam in Cleveland, Ohio💯🤘🏿🖤
