  • Dear Diary, I fellow overseas Pakistani who returned from USA to Pakistan organised a meet-up today in Bahria Town/DHA. Today we prayed at the mosque together and discussed the positives and negatives with living in this housing scheme. The meal was amazing and I had a great day out with the lads. Allahumabarik.

My apartment is exactly 5 mins walking distance from the mosque in River Hills 1 which you can see in this video. Overall I am very satisfied with this area. The Mosque is in DHA 1 sector F.

There's different phases of dha, if you live in phase 2 or 5 it's located right on islamabad expressway which is being extended to an 8 lane motorway. Once roadworks are done you will be able to make it to zero point islamabad in 25mins. In my opinion it looks a lot better than outskirts of islamabad. Central islamabad is way too expensive to live in. So if you think about it living in phase 2 or 5 is not a bad shout. Other phases of dha which are phase 1,3,4 are located deeper in rawalpindi which takes a lot longer to get to central islamabad. So if anyone wants somewhere nice to live but doesn't want to pay central islamabad prices then definitely check out dha Phase 2 and phase 5. (Roadwords should hopefully be done by the end of this year)

    Salaam brothers and sisters,
I was waiting for a blog such as this could anyone living in these socities please guide us to purchase either a plot or house in Bahria Town or DHA. Its only me and my wife want to move within the next 18 months and have upto 2 crore 50 lakh for a small well built house or a plot and build ourselves. I'm keen to just buy a house as not familiar with all the planning rules and regulations but wife is keen to build.
The biggest struggle is deciding between Bahria Town or DHA as RUclips is full of negativity against both societies with water issues, bills, maintenance charges, electricity etc.
We dont want to be too far from food street phase 7 and Rawat interchange to get back to our village in kallar syedan yet maintaining a city life with amenities like gym, green areas, coffee shops.
How much per month do you think with inflation at a high 2 people need for a healthy lifestyle?
    Bahria Town -DHA maintenance charges?
Are you allowed to install solar panels in both societies?
    I would appreciate any feedback.
    Many thanks

One of the issues living 1st hand experience there is they do not provide enough open green spaces. Everything is a concrete jungle and roads. They'll lines the roads up and build small park and that's it. The planning is this regard is very poor. Other countries plan open outdoor places ,bbq areas ,walking spaces for all ages to encourage a healthy lifestylem This enables good interaction with community in turn creating more friendships and sense of belonging. This really put me off ,they just think people like big shopping centres and food places that is it.

@akhan6778 Thank you for noticing. The barber on Eid cut it short even though I told him I don't want it short. Since then, each time I visited the barber to have my beard 'set', they seemed to keep it small.

@akhan6778 Yeah, I was hoping more people would notice. However, in the UK, I used to cut my own hair to save money. Here in Pakistan, I use the barber. I have been changing barbers around 4 times already and I don't have a set person who know how long my beard should be 😅

I counted about 10 Namazis in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
There are more Namazis going to Masjids in KufrStan than Pakistan.
Same with the Palestinian sit in, a few Dozen,
While THOUSANDS have been attending every week since the conflict began.
Allah only accepts Dua which is backed up by action,....not just verbal Dua and NO action.

@DivineLove247 there were about 7 rows full at jamaat time. I entered the Masjid before the Athan. Which means I was there 20 minutes before Athan. By the time I did wuthu and entered the main prayer hall. There were about 10 minutes left.

Don't you lie dude, one plot of land is sold over and over to 10+ people and that's how Bahria earn money which is then transferred to UK/USA/Dubai.. Bahria is a sham n a scam... Do your research on fraudster Malik Riaz and his family in USA whom they work for?.
