Why would he be upset that things went well? Their entire purpose is to formulate a cohesive and sensible plan of action to accomplish the task at hand safely as possible. He should be glad it went well, not to be the one who makes the right call. It’s not even a big deal because his judgment wasn’t actually wrong regardless. You never know how things are going to go, as the guy said, it’s a coin flip and almost always is for raids cause you don’t know what you’re walking into, which just get worse when the suspects know you're coming like when you park an armored police vehicle in front of their house. Plenty of times when cops are ambushed like when targets have security cameras and whatnot.
