This is my arrangement/ version of this famous and moving piece of music 🎶. #Adagio in G Minor.
I played my Vincent Bernolin #alto #recorder and I also played the accompaniment on my yamaha keyboard. Hope you enjoy it.
#Adagio in G Minor, composition attributed to Tomaso #Albinoni. Widely familiar through its frequent use in film scores, the work is slow of pace, solemn of mood, and frequently transcribed for various combinations of instruments. It often appears on recordings of various short #Baroque #classics.
Actually, this famed work is not by #Albinoni at all.
It is a mid-20th century creation by Italian musicologist Remo Giazotto, who claimed to have found a fragment of an Albinoni composition in the archives of a German library. According to Giazotto, the fragment contained only the low-pitched supporting continuo part and a few phrases of the melody itself. From that meager beginning, Giazotto fleshed out a complete composition according to established Baroque principles of composition, creating something generally in the style of a chaconne, in which a set of repeated pitches underlies an evolving melody.
The new Adagio-supposedly only edited by Giazotto, though, in fact, nearly entirely his own work-was published by the Italian publishing house Ricordi in 1958, nearly three hundred years after #Albinoni’s birth. Although it is not, strictly speaking, an #Albinoni composition, it does bear characteristics of the Italian #Baroque style, particularly in its overall structure.

everything is beautiful here the Bernolin recorder and it's sound. the composition, the performance, the performer, the accompaniement, the location. I've learn after watching a few of your videos that i'm gonna find something very beautiful beyond a beautiful music and technical execution. I learn i will find something of extreme beauty something with soul. even in those more rythmic and modern pieces you play there's something almost angelical.

A very personal and beautiful arrangement. At times it sounds like the Adagio is more of a guideline, though this impression may just be due to my shorcomings in understanding the music, but the result sounds beautiful to me. The adornments (I hope this is the correct term) feel right and true to the spirit of the piece. I am no musician but nonetheless, I feel entitled to express my appreciation, for what it's worth.

It sounded magical, and the beautiful views of your pond (or lake) reminded me of similar views of the Siberian River, where I filmed wild ducks and drakes with a video camera. Thank you so much. ❤

Just Great! I for myself preffer my concert silver-plated flute...but the alto-recorder is also a nice instrument(in the hands of a master).You may try also a tenor recorder,sounds great.Kind Regards from Bulgaria!

BTW: Can you shortly compare Bernolin and Haka? To what extent is the Bernolin better and would it be a good move to invest in that instrument - given that I am an amateur and have no great ambitions? Thank you!
Hi . In my opinion the Bernolin is not worth the investment . I had issues with the tuning and sent it back to see if these issues could be sorted. When I got it back the original tuning issues were fixed but other tuning issues arose. The manufacturer suggested that I was not using correct fingering and that is why I had tuning issues. For these reasons it is not for me. Haka is just easier to play.
The tone is fantastic from the Bernolin. I might just have been unlucky with my one.

Je débute à la flute, et tout le monde me dit qu'il faut que je joue main droite en bas. Probablement j'y arriverai à force de m'exercer.
Par contre main gauche en bas je suis hyper à l'aise. Sauf pour les dièses des 2 premières bien sûr. Vous avez un avis?
Thanks Monique for your lovely comment and question. Yes, you should only play with the right hand down. I'm sure with practice you will get used to it. My camera in some videos is a mirror image so it does not always look like I am playing with my right hand on the bottom but I always am.

Hi @Alessandro Ugarte. This is a resin recorder by Vincent Bernolin. I just bought it recently. Still getting used to it. Not sure what I think of it yet. Will have to play it a bit more. It does have a lovely tone though.
@@curlyrecorder386 yeah, I plan to buy that specific recorder in the future. Right now I have 3 recorders of my own plus 1 from my school (it's a Yamaha Tenor)
I have 2 Soprano Recorders (Zen On and Yamaha Ecodear) and 1 Alto;-)
@@curlyrecorder386 you can do a comparison in the future 🙏 All plastic recorders you have and a very nice review taking into consideration a lot of characteristics (intonation, tuning, playability, etc)😄
Thats a nice collection 👌you have. I really like the ecodear. It feels lovely to hold. I have not tried the Zen On recorders yet. Are they nice?
@@curlyrecorder386 the Zen On soprano is louder and has a more reedy sound compared to my Soprano Ecodear. I want to try the Zen On Alto 😄
