To anyone who didnt realize, charles dance narrates this, the actor who played tywin lannister in game of thrones, i started laughing outloud when he said "offspring and the bloodline is all that matters" cause i was like "hes literally tywin lannister lmao". Such a joy to listen too.

One of the best ever. Right up there with eternal enemies. Even the follow up seasons to savage kingdom don’t compare to this epic documentary. I love how they did this. With each episode providing the different view point of the same scene from one of the four species they focused on. There is a great symposium somewhere on here with one of the producers. The guy who was responsible for filming the saba over months and months. He said she became so comfortable with him being around that when he pulled up she would come lay under his truck for shade. He said it took a while. But there was one point at night where he felt a crawling like feeling on his calf. He looked down and it was her smelling his leg. Anyhow. He had lots of great stories. If you look up the producers names, you could prob find it in a search here on YT. Edit: I looked it up. Brad Bestelink. It’s a five or six part talk he does.

@@Onetwothreefour. Please, it's obvious how much they padded this documentary with scenic shots and slow motion. This should've been a 15 minutes story not 50. BBC produces better doc series than National Geographic but nothing beats random videos that people uploaded here on youtube, uncut and uncensored makes you realise how much these tv docs left out of the real wildlife

Mr. Dance make this Story complete with his clear, speaking, finding cool words for dramatic scenes - and best of all we see not just Lions, Leopards or Hyenas, each with a whole Familystory, the intruduction of these Buffalos, the warthog, that runs for his live, turning into pieces in seconds by Wilddogs... The narrator sounds like Charles Dance. I think he may have been in the Dracula movie along with Luke Evans. And I also think he was a vampire in the 4th Underworld movie with Kate Beckinsale. 🙂 I think the Nat Geo Wild people made a good choice for the series.

We need to do our part as humans to preserve and keep these precious kitties thriving. Even give back habitat if it comes to. Kitties lives matter

There are a lot of amazing lion documentaries. But Savage Kingdom is perfect, in every way-cinematography, editing, background music, story telling, narrator.

Charles Dance narrating a documentary about Leopards? This is awesome.
