    Agreed, nice review. Very comprehensive plus the stringer info is quite interesting.
    Would like to know how the drop is handled on the shorter 7'6 board. Curious if there is a bit more rocker, as well as width, as you mentioned in the 7'6.
    I purchased a DVS Micro at 6'6 and it is similar sorta... I like it, but i really wish i woulda seen this and looked into Christension's.
    I am finding the epoxy glass on the DVS micro, after using just a few times, is very fragile. Looks like these C-bucket boards are built to last.

      Hey Matt, Thanks for writing in. The Shorter C-Buckets are a similar width as the longer C-buckets and they definitely handle late drops better. The rocker line is similar but the shorter board fits into a steep pocket and will be more forgiving than a longer C-Bucket. Where you win on the long C-Buckets is glide speed, rather than trying to take off in a critical section, a longer board allows you to glide in early and set your line before the wave throws. Christenson surfboards use a PU/Poly construction and most feature volan reinforcement on the deck. Their construction is some of the best in the world but with that said, they are still surfboards and need to be handled carefully.

      Thanks! I get it. I think the C-bucket seems like a good board for me, thinking for winter especially. I really dont like the newer super short gear these days. Feels like the nose is missing on those boards! haha. I will stop down in November, on my annual HATT trip, and take a look around.

    Are all of your christensons glassed by Moonlight?
    A friend has a large collection of christensons with moonlight glassing and all of them are in pristine condition after many years of use.

    Hi, great rewiew. About the fin.. Which size do you recommend for a 7'2 c bucket?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  6 лет назад

      Hey Mario, depending on your weight and how hard you push through turns you would want a 7"-7.5" Surfers up to 180 generally have the best results on a 7" unless they push really hard and like extra drive, then the 7.5" is the way to go for more aggressive surfers in the 165-180 range.

      Are there any other fin that you would recommend from those you have in the shop? Maybe a longer one but with less base and more rake? I'm about 181 and I would ride a 7'2

      It works really well with the Brother Marshall but the Future's Admiral is less base with more rake, check out our single fin selection here: www.realwatersports.com/surfing/fins/single

    Bathicaly a short board for fat or heavy dudes.

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  2 года назад

      Not really, the C-Bucket is a mid-length single fin pintail that morphs into a mini version of Christenson’s glider design as it grows in length.

    • @WhiteNacho

      @@REALWatersports Is this design more for East coast surf?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  2 года назад

      @@WhiteNacho Christenson doesn't really design an east coast, specific board. This is just a really well-made design that can fit a ton of conditions. It loves a nice hollow barrel, but can also handle some mush on smaller days. Sized up it can be a nice glider with a pin tail that really bites in.
