- I'm back with new music. "Neighbor" is the first single from Ginger Root's next EP, "City Slicker". Out now on Acrophase Records. The year is 1981, and Ginger Root is asked to make the soundtrack to the American adaptation to the fictitious Japanese film “街のやつ” (Machi No Yatsu).

This song is simply fantastic, I listen to a lot of dance grooves from the 70s and 80s and this song literally sounds like a dance groove song from 1980-81 period, it is fantastic in every way, I love it! Absolutely love the synths in this song too , they remind me of some great ELO songs like "I'm Alive", "Shine A Little Love" and "Last Train To London". I'm real impressed with retro video look too, the video looks like it was recorded from an early 80s tube colour video camera onto a VHS or Beta tape and then copied a couple of times, being a vintage video camera and video recorder nut I really dig this!!! Anyhow thanks for resurrecting this great style of dance music from a bygone era and bringing it back to life again!
