Earlier today I was thinking about how the Hebrews did not want to go up the mountain with Moses to meet with God. They were afraid of the encounter. I think there is a lot of that going around even now. At least so many of the people I know want experiences that they can dictate the outcomes. They want God to give them what they want, but they don't go to Him. They like talking about their own ideas about God. They like listening to other people, hearing their perspectives instead of God's perspective. This is actually not only sad because they are missing out on intimacy with their creator, but it is dangerous, because they are easily led astray by mans persuasive reasoning. There are so many distractions in this age that I think we are experiencing an epidemic of those who have a form of godliness, but are not allowing its power to operate in their lives.

An epidemic of godliness without power is so aptly put.
Lost identity: like amnesia
All due to massive distractions & deception in this modern society. Other gods like AI take centrestage and the days of solitude looking into the night sky, calling upon the creator in wonderment take a backseat.
Be still & know that I am God is so difficult for the distracted mind.
God is my Father and I am equal with Him. I can represent God fully. I Only do what I see my Father do.
My Father loves me just like He loves Jesus. Because my Father loves me, He shows me everything that He does. Every encounter with God is an invitation for another one. I expect the Father to show me greater things. I have a living and loving relationship and fellowship with my Father. Therefore miracles, signs and wonders are normal for me on a daily basis.

Phil 🇬🇧 Chad, you say “Faith comes from encounters with God”. This is what we’re craving, seeking, praying for - encounters with God!
I pray soooo often, “Jesus, come and”encounter” with us! So that we can “know” your Presence.
Everyone that I have heard of who has had such encounters is out there doing great things, sparked by their “encounter”. You, for example. Chris Garcia, all sorts of folk.

We need this.

But we think it’s our own thoughts and wisdom

Powerful message!
You reminded me of something similar I experienced 12 years ago. My beloved dog was poisoned and was dying. I started rebuking the spirit of death over her, and suddenly she ran away and disappeared. The next day, I saw her perfectly fine and full of energy. After that, she lived for three more years and brought me so much happiness. God showed His love to me through her.

Be intentional. What is God telling me to do in THIS situation. Where am I missing it? What is the Father showing me, what is He saying to me.
