- Bunnyhop is a popular trick, allowing the player to jump repeatedly in order to move faster. Bunnyhop has much to offer in the game, but it is difficult to master and requires precise keystrokes at specific times. Due to numerous requests from our subscribers we decided to make the video. :)
In L4D2 you can bunnyhop in two ways: standing (classic) and sitting (with the crouch key held down). Bunnyhop standing is more practical, it makes it easier to pick up speed on flat surfaces. Bunnyhop while crouching is best for jumping on sloped surfaces and for special infected.
After the first jump, you have to let go of the forward key, keep turning from side to side and jump. You'll be more comfortable if you put jump on your mouse wheel up. Recommended values are "cl_cmdrate" and "cl_updaterate" on "100". Other settings are not important, you can jump to the settings you usually play with.
You need to understand that you won't learn to bunnyhop just by watching our video. You have to practice a lot! We have executed all the jumps on the local server for demonstration purposes. All the same things can be done on any official server and most dedicated servers, depending on their settings, or running config (eg confogl). For training on a local server, type "director_stop" into the console, so you won't get interrupted by zombies.
Do not use cheats, scripts, or other deceptive tactics if you really want to learn bunnyhop and become better at the whole game. Bunnyhop requires a high level of dexterity and skill, so if you can't do it it doesn't mean it's impossible to create a video without the use of cheats or scripts. No. We use fair play and pure skill! Please be smart and don't post stupid comments. Thank you.

HS Top Won't most servers keep your rates at 30 each anyway? I also find it easier to do on 30 tick servers with space and nearly impossible on 60 or 100 tick with space or mousewheel.

Actually, while trying to learn both at the same time, I learned the air-strafing a lot quicker than I have the timing. It took a bit for the timing, but I got it eventually.

I'm able to get my jumping perfectly, but I'm still not gaining any speed after turning left and right.
Gear Wolfe Yeah. What's up with that?
Gear Wolfe Then you're not jumping perfectly. You technically don't even need to turn left and right if you're only doing a single jump. Strafing just lets you gain speed faster.
You aren't jumping perfectly then. A good way to practice standing Bhop and knowing if you jumped too late would be to hold the "Walk" key, which is default bound to "Shift". If you jump too early, you don't jump. If you jump too late, you lose all momentum.
What I would do if I were you is to not even try the air-strafing portion yet. Just run forward, run as fast as you are allowed, jump, in mid-air hold "Walk", and try to get a jump chain going on like that. If you lose all velocity, then you jumped too late. Practice this a little while until you get the timing down.
The jumping is there to conserve velocity/momentum/speed. The air-strafing is what gains the speed. The only time jumping gains velocity is when you hit the perfectly timed jump going down a hill. When you land on a slope, the game adds momentum toward the bottom of the slope, and it depends on your vertical downward velocity. The faster you fallen onto the slope, the more velocity is added horizontally.

IT should be noted that standing bhopping has it's place, though the speed gain from a crouched bhop is always going to be faster if executed well. Crouched bhopping is also much better for slopes, and slides such as the Dark Carnival Stage 1 swamp entrance, though standing bhopping due to it's lack of speed loss when failing, is much better for fleeing, and saving teammates

@@Bill-vw5rj большинство серверов и игроков, а точнее моделей были прошиты. Так как распрыжка мешала нормально играть игрокам, многочисленные жалобы заставили админов скачивать "плагины". Он либо полностью убрался или остался "не развитым" (то есть при начале прыжка ваш персонаж просто падал и не делал второй прыжок). Однако это не коснулось игр на лицензии так как следить там невозможно за всеми.

Но зачем запрещать бхоп- для меня остаётся большой загадкой... По сути это не чит, а скилл. Может вообще тогда ещё поставить плагины на запрет стрельбы, чтоб люди скрипты не использовали?
1.Дело в том что такие "скиловые люди" со своим хопом просто рашат и оставляют основную массу команды на мясо. Да и то баннихопер и то до убеги не добежит, ведь рашеров все любят). 2.Тем более это не скил, а всего на всего баг, который запрещен в игре и вносит туда дисбаланс. 3. Время для зараженных очень мало, ведь режиссер не уменьшит им время на возрождение, если противники бес конца юзают распрыжку!

That explains how those players rush so quickly on versus and I can't lay a hit on them. I used to call that method a hack/cheat.
