Thank you for such a quick cut and clean informative video on this exact subject. I've been lurking around for a while trying to find documentation and other resources that explain and expand on such a point and I just want to extend my gratefulness that you spent your time making a video explaining and teaching the subject well enough that I feel confident enough to play around with it. Much appreciation from a fellow game developer and i wish you all the best in your pursuits and projects. 🙂
BRILLIANT video thank you very much. I was digging for hours in documentation looking for a good alternative to a system im working on and this I think will be a good method to use, though i will be using something else and not the cursor, but I think I know how I'll switch it up. THANK YOU BIG TIME!!!!
This was so helpful for me in my learning of splines. I thought I needed to buy something complicated on the marketplace but after watching this I feel comfortable at least starting it on my own. My goal is to basically take it a step further and have the spline move along the ground on an un-even terrain, so that when my cursor is at a position on a hill or something you can see it. Do you think that is possible with the native tools?
Yes, I believe you can you do it. Be sure to watch the Part 2 video. I think for what you are describing you just need to use the "getLocation UnderCursorByChannel" node. Additionally, you might try and sort out a math block to bend the tangents along incremental locations along the spline as you would probably want it to meld neatly to the terrain. Good luck!
I love ur tutorials but please man make planet coaster road system as series it will help alot of ue users . Using mathematics is super easy with unity but with unreal it super hard for beginners
I'm not using a plugin for this. The Spline is a component that is found in the components section of the Actor Class. If its the Green Grid you mean, that I had made with a Plain, and a hand painted grass texture in Krita. The gridlay is just a texture that has an opacity mask(square) and added in the grass material. You don't need to make a grid though to use a spline; it will work just fine in a template

You're very welcome! This is why I made it, because I struggled enough getting it sorted out and figured it might help someone else. Cheers!

Brilliantly clear tutorial. Thank you!
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! Your tutorial is clear!

Can we use spine based Mesh mesh in ue5
Great tutorial! Thank you
great video,
could you make a folow up video, where you show how to add multiple spline points,
would be much appreciated
Yup yup
With curve and length controller please
Gotcha! Here it is : ruclips.net/video/Wljx00W3PGM/видео.html

Every video i see about this topic they say to do the console command show lines, but it never works for me?
I'm not the most knowledgeable about the console commands, but perhaps you meant "splines" instead of "lines"?

I'm learning Unreal Engine right now, but I can't find how to download this plugin, do you have a download link for it?
