  • Dropping netting cliff swallows (Petrochelidon pyrrhonota) near Cedar Point Biological Station in Nebraska for a 26-year mark-recapture study. No birds were harmed in making this video.
    NOTE: you do need a permit to mist net birds.

    Assuming you have a state and/or federal license, you can buy them from science retailers. Using mist nets without a license is very, VERY illegal, and you should be a trained professional to use them.

    It's just like you described it!! Pretty Crazy. By the looks of it, I'm guessing you extracted the lower trammel birds. : )
