- I went for a stroll through one of the largest 2nd hand car markets in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. We looked at mostly Chinese brands that were a few years old, as well as some foreign brands, and compared their value for the money. Interesting stuff!

I’m an expat here in China as well looking around 2nd hand car markets. Watching this video literally sums up my weekends 🤣 I almost bought a Haval H6 by your recommendation but a friend helped me to realize the condition of the engine was not great.

Roewe was known as MG Rover. SAIC bought the brand and moved all the production from the UK to China. They then made some of the old rover models for a bit and then started work on their own models. They didn't get the rights to the rover name as ford bought the rover name for £6m.
SAIC then launched the MG brand again outside of China and roewe brand for china.

Have the latest model GAC GS4. Great car. Great value for money. Tasteful interior and good features and decent power.

I would love to, but i live in Vietnam now. There are a few Chinese brands here, but it's mostly Japanese and Korean.

what is your opinion w/ geely. ? how can you compare it to toyota, honda, nissan etc. only the sedan segment
I like Geely, but I don't think they're quite as good as the imports. However Geely is also much more affordable.

Are cars a must in Zhongshan? I'm trying to find an apartment on or around Haojiang W Rd, but everythibg is 45min or more away on foot. Do you know the reason?
there's no need to have a car when living in China, the public transportation systems are excellent. But it is a nice toy for the weekends.
