- We visited Aigues-Mortes (France) in 2024. The town charmed us with it's medieval architecture, fine people & great food (mussels!). The main riff came to me as a piece 13th century minstrels would play (well, according to Hollywood ;-/ ).
The beds went down live with gut-string & Neil on Conga & assorted gee-gaws. We then overdubbed a heap of supporting tracks. Watching/listening to Neil lay the Bodhran part was a hoot... he didn't have the authentic instrument but got the vibe using a detuned Conga.
The video features pics from Aigues-Mortes. Our boat (@LeBoat) was moored right at the foot of Constancy Tower as the opening shot shows. Special thanks to Adm'l Pat & Cap'n Geoff for making the boat tour fabulous.
Finally, big special thanks to Peter Kornherr for his work on the mastering - the guy has huge ears.

It was a fun track to record - hope you enjoy.
