    I don't understand how do you use SP Finish Ancient Gem? The one with the cool orb finisher! Will I get it eventually?

    • @UchihaMadara0727
      @UchihaMadara0727 10 лет назад

      You unlock specials at lvl 30. Everyone except Escha and Logy get special gauges that build up through attacking and supporting. The special finisher triggers if the special attack kills the last enemy in the fight.

    Hi, i played Ayesha and liked it a lot, specially because of the friendly time limit. Rorona plus, on the other hand have a cruel time limit and i've felt rushed all the way. Is this game like Ayesha(or better) or Rorona? At least in terms of the time limit?

    • @LeonGun8
      @LeonGun8 8 лет назад +2

      +Sergio Helal The Dusk series is extremely lenient on time limits. Eschat looks more strict on the surface than Ayesha (because you have a task every 3 months or so), but you only have to do the main task,which is usually super easy, hence the 3-month missions are just to provide a streamlined path to the ending. Plus the world map of Escha is much smaller.
      SHallie doesn'teven have a time limit so it's even more lenient.

    • @SHMeira
      @SHMeira 8 лет назад

      Thanks. I will at least buy Shallie someday. Escha maybe.

      Damn escha is my first atelier game and I found the time limit terrifying because I didnt know you unlocked a whole other year and I was rushing to try finish everything in the first 3 years and I thought it seemed impossible. I was so glad to find out I had a year to finish up some assignments I missed. I now only really have the last assignment to finish. So many difficult tasks like using all items. Defeating strong bosses and crafting everything is gonna be a real challenge I dont think im up for it. Wish it was a little easier...

    I don't understand why Gust INC and Koei went this road. Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia's line of battle sequence was more exciting and has better story. This doesn't feel like an RPG anymore, just a flashy....chess game involving making things, right choices and time management...

    • @KoujiTamino
      @KoujiTamino 8 лет назад

      +StarBlade Buster
      Iris and Mana Khemia are the outliers. Die hard Atelier fans have spoken, and what they want is exactly what you described.

    • @crzymage
      @crzymage 8 лет назад +2

      +StarBlade Buster you do know the older Atelier Series(before Iris and Khemia) had time management, right? Though it may be irritating with time management, it's what the Atelier series is known for: managing time and creating things. I believe Atelier Shallie scrapped the time management, as well as the upcoming Atelier Sophie(which uses a day and night system slightly similar to Mana Khemia's).
      But one thing I do agree upon is that time management made for a very difficult game to play(Arland series, not so much the Dusk series).

      I was aware of the previous ones, (Marie, Elie, Annie and so on) However, Iris and Mana Khemia were still considered relatively old despite that fact that it was also PS2 origins. I'm just saying, the newer games lack base story, and the alternate endings are fun and all, but there's no unity to the characters. Like...each of them are a star of their own stories and don't include anyone else. Sure that's fine, but Mana Khemia had a lot of inclusions. Like how their character story involves everyone in their workshops.

    • @crzymage
      @crzymage 8 лет назад +1

      StarBlade Buster yeah, I can understand that. Most of the stories in the Atelier series(besides Iris and Mana Khemia), were usually lightly story driven plots(save the workshop, travel, find out why this happened). Like you said, most of the characters have no direct impact on the story besides being there. I just wished the Dusk series, which had a slightly darker story, had a much larger inclusion of the characters, the story, motive, and a definite conclusion, all the while having alchemy as its heavy base.
      When they took out the time management in Shallie, I was kind of surprised and hopeful lol I was scared that if I synthesized an item or waited too long, time would pass by. Time management is so engraved in our minds we fear it will have repercussions, and when they take it out it's a sort of shock.

      Seriously, I never even finished playing Meruru because of it and stopped buying Atelier games. Not only cuz it was getting expensive and I was frustrated with the changes they made, but the factors are always too similar. Rorona and Totori felt a lot like Atelier Annie without the party management and different battle system. I finished it, but with neutral and bad endings (Rorona left with her Homonculus on a journey and Totori could never get the boat done) and it was frustrating to play it all over again for better alternate endings. And last but not least, I was super bummed that they removed fun creatures from the later games. Like Fairies and so on.

    What's wrong with Logy's VA? He sounds bored all the time, and I'm usually quite tolerant of dub voice acting to begin with.
    'Cause I mean, that's not just a VA problem, that problem also includes voice direction, and somebody decided that was good enough to put in.
    Is it because this is a yearly series? :/

      His is the only voice I can't really stand. Linca's is kinda weak, but Logy sounds completely detached and indifferent all the time.

      @@MrJhound4 I felt his VA just not take serious about it...... In fact, Logy's VA is the same one with Ryuji in Persona5, and Ryuji's voice acting were pretty good......
