    You are correct in saying that it’s not a homage. The Zenith Defy was 3 years before the Royal Oak.

    so funny...nearly every time I get really interested in a watch and go looking for reviews you've got an owners review of it. we think alike.

    Beautiful watch and I love that it doesn't have the 1/10th of a second indicator.

      a foudroyant small seconds is a quirky complication. arguably the most interesting current example is from Habring2. While not at 5hz, it is paired with a deadbeat seconds hand, which is a very challenging complication in and of itself. There's an interesting contrast between the sweeping deadbeat and foudroyant subdial, it simply doesn't offer much in terms of function, but that's rarely the point of an expensive mechanical watch anyway.

    I think they should make a 38 or 39mm version with the el primero movement and no small seconds dial

    Very nice review - I'm looking at the red defy and just haven't decided if I should get it or not...the chase is 3/4's the fun it seems.

    Very nice review. I have a 16.5cm wrist, and am wondering if this watch wears more like a 38mm on the wrist. I am torn between this and the Pilot 3-hander with the El Primero, which is a 40mm, and, I'm told, wears more like a 41 or 42mm.

    Thanks for reviewing, wish you had talked a little more about the movement! Does the movement have Silicon escapement? Any idea of how anti magnetic it is? What is the accuracy of the watch? Thanks!

    Hey boss, do you think this watch would look big or small compared to the rolex op 36?

    • @milesruby
      @milesruby 5 месяцев назад

      I'd say this wears slightly larger than the op36, mainly because of the shape of the case it looks bigger than a 36

    Love that watch but with the sky high beat rate I'd be wary of the service cost...

      Yeah and everybody who owns a submariner should get a seiko 5, and ap owners should just get a tissot, right?

  • @mohnnadmercedes8246
    @mohnnadmercedes8246 8 месяцев назад +1

    Looks too generic, your seiko is far more characteristic IMO
