What I think happened is Hat kid is really Vanessa's and Snacher's daughter, the reason why there was a baby crate in the mansion. Hat kid was teleported by Snacher to earth in the Hope's of saving her from Vanessa's fury. By the time Hat kid came back to subcon, Snatcher had forgotten what his daughter looked like and so thought nothing of it, Until she found out about the fact he had a child and told him she was adopted and they both realized something. But that's just what I think think happened
You know in the actual game in hat kid toys box there's a drawing of hat kid and two people that look like vanessa and the prince, so maybe jonas is hiding something from us.
This actually kinda makes sense cause if you think about it no ordinary human from earth can double jump and/or dive in mid air while mustache girl can dive in mid air and (i think) double jump so in theory hat kid is indeed from the world that she comes across and not from earth
