Thanks for posting this! Wonderful. Mr. Kennedy is so interesting to watch. He sits so far back, almost as if his drums might poison him, and yet he is so tasteful (and that left-handed stuff is just amazing to watch). I prefer him with Mr. Haslip, but the new bassist does fine, if a little lacking in the musicality Jimmie brought to their table (talented as he is).
Mr. Ferrante sticks to his lovely sounds. Piano, and switching to the string sweeps. That sound never, ever gets old. He's got such a unique touch. "Stack of fifths," I keep hearing that.
And he reminds me a lot of Dave Brubeck, when he's block-chording. Wonderful.
Mr. Mintzer, such a gentleman of a musician, and an absolute lion when it's time. Amazing.
It's so difficult to believe that Robben Ford was a co-founder of this group, and the stuff he's gone on to do, especially Jing Chi, is terrific in a different way. Have a listen, if you haven't already: ruclips.net/video/XQw-MHuZMvk/видео.html
