Thank you. 🙏 I love my plants so much and become so connected, they’re almost like pets to me! Thank you so much for watching n’ commenting. Best of luck! 🍀
Beat video. I dislike how many poppy growers like to show there expensive by saying they can’t be transplanted. The best think about liking gardening is that you like to try to learn not to fail. So it’s impossible to detriment what the outcome would be unless you try. I like how you explain about the deep root. That’s all we need to know I think. To be Optimistic.
Yes! Thank you so very much. I have had great success transplanting this way. No one told me it couldn’t be done so I never set myself up for failure if that makes sense. I just have a feeling when it comes to plants and have been doing poppies like this for many yrs. thank you so much for watching/commenting.
Cool! It CAN be done. When you hold a poppy, it can seem floppy (didn’t mean to rhyme but sometimes that’s life), anyway, the plant tells you what it needs if you hold it in you hands. She needs gentle treatment. Like for instance, only bury her right up to where roots meet stalk, be careful about that. Spread her roots gently, giving her space to feel happy in the new home and for me…I keep her right under momma where she wanted to be in the first place so I don’t shock her. Basically treat a baby poppy like you would treat a fish when changing aquariums. Gently and with her needs in mind, not necessarily your needs! She will respond by growing into a truly exotic-looking, amazing plant.
I’ve watched videos from so-called experts who say things like Sarah Bernhardt peonies are notoriously difficult to transplant whereas I’ve never had a problem. I always follow the method in this video. The plant needs to be small in size (small leaf structure adapts more readily), it needs to be done on a rainy or cloudy day (excessive heat will kill off an already-stressed plant), and I never move the pot holding the transplant for at least two days, giving the root structure a chance to recover without adding stress to the leaves. It seems like a lot of trouble but really you just have to plan your timing.
They absolutely were red poppies and California is the name on the package. If you don’t like the name in the package, I would suggest you correct the seed company who labeled it such.
@@CiaofCleburne California poppies (Eschscholzia californica) aren't even a member of the papaver genus. What you have is a true poppy, meaning it's in the Papaver family. It's Papaver Somniferm. (Opium poppy)
This was one of my earliest video recordings. I apologize if my intro was not up to par. My channel has since grown organically, much like my video skills. Thanks for stopping by.
Well done! I knew there was a way to transplant them. And I like your sense of humor. Great video.

Poppy seeds kaha sa milga daso
You've transplanted poppies before? They are very hard to transplant. I've never been successful on transplants with poppies.
You have to catch them as little babies.

That's not a california poppy - Red or otherwise. It looks more like Papaver Somniferum or if it's not that it's some type of Papaver Orientale

@@imaxdigital7052 i ordered opium poppies. The name on the package was “Giant Red California” so I went with the name the grower used. Thanks!!
Worst introduction ever. Cmon, who cares about your microphone
