Word is that Tom Dwan is a favorite in the macau high stakes scene for juicing up games and creating action. So much, that even if tom busts, they are willing to stake him just to keep him in the games. Not everyone can play in macau. Nits dont get invited. The poker etiquette is also different. If a businessman asks a poker pro to show his hand, he is required to do so.

Have been throwing around the idea of trying a version of Short Deck where you remove one of the suits. You would be left with a 3 suit deck. Much easier to make a flush, and much harder to make pairs. Not sure how the hand rankings would work, but it could be interesting.

2nd handin the video "only QJ can beat him". I'm like pocket kings, pocket aces, Q6, Q7, Q9, pocket 6s, pocket 7s would do it too. Then there's a couple of straight draws and a potential spade flush. Great commentary.
Obviously he means only QJ is ahead as played. Overpairs are pretty much nonexistant based on preflop decisions and how often Rui and Dwan like to 3bet. Yes there are flush and straight draws but they are behind in equity. Q6 and Q7 both fold pre. Q9 does not beat AQ. As for 6’s and 7’s I think they are definitely a consideration, however I’m assuming they get raised quite often on the flop. Though a call isn’t entirely inconceivable given how dry the flop was, but multi way a raise is probably more often the play.

The most common hand I get at my local casino is J 6o I swear to god last time I played a 3 hour session and got it dealt like 20-25 times. I feel like in a game like this I would either win a shit-ton of money or go broke trying to bluff everybody because I always have J 6 lolll
One of the casino owners plays in this game sometimes. I forget which player though. I'm sure it's more about promoting the casino. If anything they probably pay to get into the game.

It's short deck poker so the 2-5s are missing. The ace still plays for the low straight though so you can make a straight as A-6-7-8-9, which he did.
