Probably because they don't wear their assigned role like textbook cliche stereotypes. The designers didn't try to make their character types as obvious as possible. The characters in this trainer *show* who they are with actions. The Boss and Loren show they are lead-from-thr-front badasses without uttering a single word.. Kenzie doesn't need to wear an outfit that screams "I'm the smart one!" because we see her glued to her laptop even as the bullets fly. Johnny takes a bullet for his boss and is immediately pulled back to his feet. He didn't need to dress (or undress) like a madman to show us his Blood Knight tendencies. That they had to try so hard to make these characters stand out screams a lack of subtlety. They've been designed as obviously as possible because they think their audience is that dumb.

This trailer is sooo good, even if the game was weaker than SR2. It gushes style, identity and is hype as hell. Take note Saints Row 2022 reboot devs, this is how it's done.
Definer "weaker". Genki is the best side mission of any open world game. It is funnier. I didn't like leaving the Row, but there was no place to go after Saint's Row 2 killed the idea of them ever being a small time gang struggling to make it after giving them a multi-media empire. Saint's Row 3 made a perfectly fun game out of the closure of the ending of Saint's Row 2. And the reboot easily proves we need the actual Saints to make a game work.

yes it is bad but even so I will not take away the merit that I managed to do quite a few things well and changes that were necessary for the saga Of course, many things were sacrificed along the way, but even so, you have to see the positive side as well.

@@fictiong6247 I do. My entire Twitter feed is full of people shitting on SR after a cinematic trailer that shows VERY little. If Twitter hates the trailer, how can you call it “twatter row”? Also, I use Reddit every day, and it’s not much better than Twitter. Just a bunch of echo chambers repeating the same shit to each other in order to affirm their beliefs.

My timing was off, it was a year, forgot this came out in 2011 and MBDTF came out in 2010 not 2009, I got SR3 2012.
But I grew up listening to Kanye West when Gradiation came out, when I heard Power during the Penthouse mission I was like "OH SHIT"

Its sad seeing a franchise you cherish, reduced to nothing but a joke of a reboot. Its nothing like saints row and its not going to be without either the gritty gangster come up story or the wacky silliness of 3 and 4. Makes you apricate games back in the day that had a sense of humor
Its gonna be a gang of snowfalkes with strong indipendent w0men that gonna crush the patriarchy, a diverse set of characters from all races, emotional weak man, and of course white man are gonna be the villinus gangs.
