Is there a change in the feel of tension throughout zone 2 and into zone 3? My eye is on the M-7HT because of the 27" scale length.
Throughout zone 2 there isn’t any change of tension at all. In zone 3 as the pitch goes up again the tension also changes of course, but not in zone 2.
how good was the factory setting? string action - frets?
Was great! No need to adjust anything. Maybe a little to get that super low action if desired.
Thank you for using regular adjectives. “Powerful, Articulate, plenty of overtones.” This actually tells me something about the sound unlike the usual guitarist lingo of, “Hairy, Velvety” and so on.
Weird language I agree. Hairy...even after 25 years of playing guitar I don't understand this expression. 😂
@JulianDaniels why does your fretboard look so dark? I received mine today and the fretboard looks almost like rosewood on mine. I'm a little disappointed to he honest. Did you treat yours with oil to change it or did you just get lucky?
Hello, mine had an ebony fingerboard as I remember. Maybe you should contact the guys at EverTune. I am sure they will help you. Fingerboard oil makes the rosewood look darker if you’re not satisfied with the color. I apply oil on my MusicMan once a year and it really looks cool.
@stanp5246 I’m about to get mine in about a week. What did you think about the neck thickness? Is there anything you can compare it to? Also, are the frets stainless steel? I heard from one guy who got one that said the frets were a little rougher than he expected and that the neck was a bit thicker than he expected.
I still want one because I like the specs and it looks killer. But I’d like to know a bit more if I can.
@@EndofTheRopeband the neck is definitely thicker than your average M shape 7 string. If you don't have big hands it might be a bit uncomfortable playing with a strap, but seated playing is fine. Didn't notice anything unusual with the fret texture.
What tuning is this please ?
It’s a standard tuning with the additional low b string.

@@johnhardage2307 I believe it is only available via Evertune's website. Not sure if sold out yet but that's where I ordered it. They sent out an email and the current ETA is spring 2023, I am dying to get my hands on this thing.
