@@jaxonfaxin - I think Cube knows what the girls' intentions are. Cube stopped them from mentioning Soojin's name cuz Cube feared the public. The members don't mention her name. Cube knows it's a technicality and the girls found a legal loophole. Most likely Cube and the girls have had discussions and they already know what the girls plans are next summer. Most likely the girls will form their own agency but they have to honor the rest of the present contract.

@@jaxonfaxin while I don't necessarily agree with what the comment you replied to said, what can Cube really do about it? It's not overt, so they can't directly confront them about a subjective interpretation they may have, they can't write and compose songs for them because then it just wouldn't be G Idle, they can't really force Soyeon to change her direction without cultivating even more resentment, which would be worked into her writing, and they are very dependant on the group so they couldn't just block their projects.
I may be wrong, but I think G Idle is Cube's lifeline, and with their contract's expiration date on the horizon, the best and maybe ONLY thing Cube can really offer them is artistic freedom, which is something Soyeon clearly values. It may not be good optics, but it might be good business.
Regarding who the antagonist/object of their revenge in the MV is, in my interpretation, it's in first person perspective because it's us - the audience. The character assassination, the verbal abuse, the threats. Cube was quick to fold to the public outcry, but in the end, it's the public who attacked her.
I at first thought it sounded like a bit of a stretch akin to reading a horoscope, but I randomly burst into ugly crying halfway through the explanation for some reason. I say this as someone who got into Gidle about a year and a half after Soojin left while she somehow ended up being my 2nd favorite out of the 6. It's like the same ugly cry I now have whenever I think about Minnie's ESCAPE song post-Agassy debut where happy and sad tears combine into one overwhelming emotion.
And while things have been looking up on Soojin's end for the last few months, hearing this explanation for a new MV now is like saying "however you're doing now...your friends...they're still thinking about you and love you!" This now being a really strong nod to her since Nxde era. As said in ESCAPE, no matter where you go, they'll be with you no matter what ❤
I'm betting they spend a lot of their off-time with Soojin. Cube can't stop their personal friendships.
Revenge mv is the answer of (g)i-dle about nevies who were saying that all the references of soojin from their other releases were just coincidence... they even included soojin's bday in the mv so no way its super coincidence... from the 6th balloon in the tomboy mv, the marlyn Monroe inspired cb with an animation inspired by soojin, the butterfly version of their album, and even the bside tracks which were lowkeyly meant for her... if some people think that it is still a coincidence then why would soojin's bday be in the revenge mv not the other member's?
I'm wondering if people have Soojin and Shuhua mixed up. The five other members are all frozen in time, Soojin (who is listed as Shuhua here) is the only one moving. Otherwise four members plus Soojin are frozen and Shuhua is the only one moving, which doesn't make sense. The five other members all were at a standstill right after that Easter time.
Isn’t Shuhua playing a detective that’s recreating the events/putting herself in their shoes? It makes sense to me that she’d be the one moving in that case.
@@Chachixo - If that's all there was to it, you'd be correct. But the symbolism of the video with so many specific references to Soojin and that timeframe in their careers that was so hard shows there is much more to this story than one character solving a simple whodunnit.

Most likely the girls had to sign non-disclosure agreements to continue on as a group, and it was probably written not to mention her name in the NDA. But it wasn't written they couldn't reference her indirectly, list her birthday, etc etc etc, so the girls found a way that was not listed in the NDA. All this time, the girls have never mentioned her name. Cube probably never thought that far ahead, but our girls are insanely smart!

And to clarify it was Shuhua who was the victim of "Last Easter Night", the verification was the last scene where she was taking off her bandage, she had to remake her face because of the crime. She was investigating the crime to get her REVENGE. This MV was all about her "REVENGE".

Still trying to figure out why Minnie is barefoot in the hotel hallway, but I'm sure there's a good explanation for that. Just haven't figured that one out as of yet. Barefoot usually means dead, but Nicha was always alive in this video.

Soyeon looks at her and wonders if Yuqi will break. At this point, they are all in this together. Miyeon walks out and sees Yuqi's reaction also. This scene in the hallway takes place after the physical conflict scene and Minnie throwing the match.
