When I saw 0:22 for the first time, there was only one word in my mind: "Wow" - and this word describes the whole video. Especially if you know the stories behind the scenes, how difficult everything was, from outfit changes to editing. (And that's why I love behind the scenes stuff. This song perfectly captures the spirit of when Egypt was ruled by the pharaohs. When it was great and its power overshadowed other nations. In this song, I hear the voice of all the rulers of ancient Egypt.

With the overall theme of "Duality", I'm thinking that the story here is "good" vs "evil", but they are all sides to the same person. Black and White being the concept of yin and yang, and perhaps Red being the individual as a whole? By the end, Red accepts both sides of herself, causing the war within herself to settle. At least, this is my immediate interpretation haha! Absolutely love this song and the use of the violin and vocals to represent the different characters!
This was my thought process too especially with what she said in the pre-show. I don’t think it was “evil” in traditional sense but more shadow self or the part that has been deemed wrong in the eyes of “society.” I also like what another commenter said about (going off memory and paraphrasing, it was a translation too) the red chasing away the darkness and only victory remains.
For her first song, Eye of the Untold Her was about her past, and what she has going for her now in the present and future. Inner Gold is about following your own way. Here, it seems to be about that exact thing, but remember there's two sides to you that make you whole. And as you mention, that will war within you until you come to grips with that. With both sides. In other terms...you gotta pull a Zuko lol.
And manacles on the wrists of all 3. Golden, and sometimes elaborate manacles, but evoking being a slave to the human condition regardless. It's hard to ignore such symbolism when the story of the Exodus is tied so closely to the images we see in the background. Lots of symbols in this one. I suspect there's quite a bit she wants to say, but maybe a fair amount for the audience to over-interpret or misinterpret =D
I thought red was maybe passion (which can be both good and bad), and the contrast was the grayish outfit from the first shot, which could be something like calm (once again, can be good and bad).

This is so awesome that government of Egypt gave you permission to film this music video at the pyramids of Giza. I was lucky enough to visit them in person last year with my parents, it was breathtaking experience.
It was all thanks to an extremely rich man who was having his wedding at the pyramids and had hired her to perform at the wedding. As part of the contract, she asked him to get her a permit to film and he managed to pull it off, so she had them all to herself. Source: Lindsey talked about it during her concert last weekend.

I love this song, I find it playing in my head through out the day. She plucks the strings kind of saying 'wait for this, wait for this, it's going to be good, wait for this, wait for this, then a wall of music consisting of pleasant sound bursts on the scene! A wall of sound with more energy than a festival bursts on the scene, such that you don't want to just tap your feet, you want to move with it! The dance reminds me of how couples dance as they dip and dive - appreciating each other, only her partner is the violin, and yet it is not, just the expression of her dreams. The mysterious choir type singing, wonderful dance movements emphasizing her passion for the music while playing the instrument behind a back drop of pyramids as wind flows through a gorgeous outfit. Wow! The evil twin theme walks you into this mysterious landscape and the vibe of the choir song just takes you there. And what takes you there, is that magnificent smile on her face as she knows she is nailing this performance, like she does every day! What a treat, nobody sounds like her! Like an Egyptian Princess of ancient times, you rise from the sands. Golden notes flow from your violin. The wind sweeps the colorful waves of cloth you're wearing. Your body's movements embrace the setting. It is genuine art. ❤
I have a theory based on color symbolism in Egyptian culture. BlackDress!Lindsey is not the “evil twin”- in ancient Egypt, the color black was symbolic of new beginnings and health, representative of the waters and rich soils of the Nile River. Red, on the other hand, was symbolic of death- it represents blood and arid, dry soil, and was often associated with chaos and destruction.
Yin and yang .. I am decades long hard rock/ metal fan. YET Lindsey is my guilty secret pleasure I guess. Addicted to her uniqueness. Her music talent, mixed with her dance motions. Like a cobra swaying back and forth. She has me mesmerized. Another thumbs up!

It’s fantastic to see people do well and persevere beyond anything they ever thought possible. Continued success, and don’t you let that violin go girl! 🙏
The editing, the transitions between light and dark, the scenery, costumes, the lighting all of it was so fricking good! I think she's gotten more comfortable/confident in her vocals because those vocals were strong! I felt I was on a journey in this song - and not just because she takes us to Egypt in this 😅
This was INCREDIBLE!! When I first heard this song on Pandora, I imagined an Evil Twin ruining their twins life by making the Good Twin seem like they were bad, when the real twin knew it was the Evil one's doing, the real villain behind the mask. Seriously, Lindsey's music just creates all these really cool stories and video ideas in my head that I want to bring to life! Especially this one! I love Lindsey Stirling so much! Reason why I started playing violin in the first place in 5th grade, now at the end of my sophomore year in Highschool, her music still makes my jaw drop and amazes me 🤩🤯🤨❤️🔥
Another comment, if you don't mind... I used to be my elementary school's Science Lab Teacher. During my breaks, I would allow the visiting Violin Teacher to use mr lab as a classroom. While she was unpacking and sitting up her stuff, I would play your videos on the big projection board at the front of the room for the kids (all girls). They loved the videos and music, and the Violin Teacher told me that they inspired her students to do their best.
It used to be that I would love to get a new album. I'd tear into it the words, the pctures who was in the band. Then we went to CD's as a tech I knew the music was better on albums (no samplings) so all that was gone in the little boxes. Then streaming came and music quality nosedived. But here Lindsey has gone in an amazing direction with her videos. Each one a piece of art having you see the song and music come to life! She should make videos of each song and sell the album as a DVD also, it would be a new way of both watching and listening to the music! All DVD Players play CD music so....and well could still download the video and music on Prime as an album if your so inclined it would be wow!

Knowing as a video creator how annoying it is to get permission to film anything at the pyramids at all makes me appreciate this so much more 😌 There's not a lot of great visual work from this location out there and this is definitely top tier!
I think this had to be when she attended this SUPER rich billionaire wedding to perform for the couple. So...delete two birds with one stone. Smart girl.
LOVE IT!!!I got chills when you started singing, your voice is SO BEAUTIFUL and we don't get to hear it often enough. Phenomenal song Lindsey!& as always, your costumes are🔥🔥🔥🔥
She's not singing. She's harmonizing. Still sounds awesome! If you want to see someone sing while playing a violin, check out Eddie Berg from the band Imminence.
She's talented, she's an icon and she is the moment! The music video and the song are so beautiful! I think Duality will become my favourite album with that many bop!
Evil twin. Good twin. Estranged and possibly unhinged twin. Conciliatory but not necessarily forgiving twin. Fifth twin who tries to remind them that they are, in fact, quintuplets.
Talent. It is talent, SKILLS, and determination (that means hard determined work). There is few these days that can appreciate this level of skill and determination. I love you Lindsey you have kept me vibrant for over a decade.
This is absolutely amazing! The music, the video, the top level artistry is mesmerizing! You're so lucky to have filmed the video at the pyramids! Lindsey Stirling= ETHEREAL
I was really surprised that the opening track for a Lindsey album starts with "evil" but now I see why she made this the first track. Very much encapsulates the idea of duality. And the drop is frickin amazing, love the vocals
The most heavy mixture of 'The Eye of Untold her' and 'Underground' I have ever heard. Love it. I'll be here for the music video and I hope it's not weird. The costume, the destination for this music video is flipping insane.
Hiiii! 😊😊😊I am new to listening your music Lindsey, and i am loving it!! you are my favorite artist, and I have made a lot of research on you, and you have inspired me with your songs to learn violin, thank you so much, I love you, keep going you can do it!!!❤❤❤❤
Seeing you tonight in concert was TRULY AN AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE always will remember my 32nd birthday cause seeing you in concert was the BEST GIFT I could've ever asked for TRULY REMARKABLE you made it Lindsey ❤❤🙏
You should write a song with Amy Lee where you have opposite vocals and instrumental. You sing, she plays piano vs she sings, you play violin...then merge it up.
Not exactly sure what the point was with this, not sure if it was night vs day. But I got to say, the song is amazing. And the fact that you actually went to Egypt to film this is just even more amazing! Lindsay, your music has helped me through so much. An even now it's helping me through a big transformation, I want to thank you for your music. And I am looking forward to seeing you on July 31st in Clearwater ❤❤ Ps. My name, Iahkhet, means moonfire in ancient Egyptian. It symbolizes my connection to the Goddesses, Bastet and Sekhmet.
Funnily, the white version she's playing here allways shifts in different forms (different clothes but still in mainly white) but the black one allways stays the same. I might over-interpret in this but for me it looks like "if you choose light in your life you're able to grow. If you are trapped in the dark state, you'll stay the same."
I’m just happy to see that she can do her own vocals. I’m no expert, but she seems pretty good at switching between her head voice and her chest voice. If there are any actual experts here, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
@@goansichishigJojo puts too much effort in trying to be controversial. Too fake. She ends up looking like a bigger buffoon than Honey Boo Boo. She kinda resembles her tbh 🤔
Hello Fellow Humans, Lindsey Stirling has come so far. From when I started watching her at least than 1,000 subs like 13 ish years ago. Dancing around and playing ge violin. She is so talented and gorgeous. I wish she would sing more. Because I know she has a great voice. Not sure why she doesn't sing. But a violin and dancing around like a fairy does take a lot out of you. She is so talented and amazing. Such an amazing story going from nothing to this.
I feel like this, divided. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I realized that the song love goes on and on with Emy Lee, the costumes are characteristic in the same way, maybe they are related. Thank you for such good art, it helps me understand these energies.❤☯️

There is an unstated law that says there is only so much you can do while playing the violin. It amazes me that Ms. Stirling seems to break that law with every performance. Absolutely incredible

Is the record label giving her creative freedom back? This feels like the old LindseyStomp days, and I'm there for it.
i agree
@@Alrune18 Guys, Lindsey doesn’t have a record label. But I’m so glad you like her music.
@@PattiPranger-ch1yz She's always been self-published/produced/edited. Absolute powerhouse!
@@travislarson9794 Yes, very true.
Evil twin.
Good twin.
Estranged and possibly unhinged twin.
Conciliatory but not necessarily forgiving twin.
Fifth twin who tries to remind them that they are, in fact, quintuplets.
😂❤
I only caught 4 outfits. Was there a fifth one?
😂😂😂😂😂
@@johnhogue9402she has about 5 outfits 😊 grey and white, black, white on white, red and orange, Grey.
@@johnhogue9402 There is a gray gown at the beginning.
Bonjour jade forsetco
SO GLAD I GOT MY VIP TICKETS FOR THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁🥳
me too!
Very beautiful! Thank you, Lindsey! You the best!👏👏👏😘❤
Very cool. I hope she collaborates with some heavier rock or metal voices in the future. That track she did with Lzzy Hale is still the best.
Lacey Sturm anyone??;)
I was really surprised that the opening track for a Lindsey album starts with "evil" but now I see why she made this the first track. Very much encapsulates the idea of duality. And the drop is frickin amazing, love the vocals
отличный клип и музыка...контраст одежды и ночной темы....и нотки восточной музыки...приятно смотреть и слушать...спасибо за Ваш труд
Полностью согласен с вами 👍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
HERE FROM PARAGUAY 🇵🇾 🇵🇾 🇵🇾

Can't wait!
I just watched the Aurora Borealis for about an hour, blasting BETWEEN TWILIGHT.
It was sooo beautiful ❤
Lucky!! We woke up at 11pm to see it, but it turned out that it was there at 9:30 (when we went to bed) 💀
Did she also do the vocals?
Yeah!
🎤🦖AHHAĤHHAHHHHHAHHH
"Yes she did." 🥰📱
Yesss! Saw her at one of her concerts and yes she did the vocals even live 🥰
Yes she’s an amazing singer ❤
This is going to be epic! I can feel it in my bones ( honestly, when does Lindsey ever do anything that is not epic?)
Loving the sound thus far!
And when does she sleep?😂She must be the hardest working person in showbiz
The most heavy mixture of 'The Eye of Untold her' and 'Underground' I have ever heard. Love it. I'll be here for the music video and I hope it's not weird.
The costume, the destination for this music video is flipping insane.
Dang. Lindsey doesn’t disappoint! Now I want to do a duet of this song somehow with my twin on our violin and viola! 😅 Awesome!!!
Hiiii! 😊😊😊I am new to listening your music Lindsey, and i am loving it!! you are my favorite artist, and I have made a lot of research on you, and you have inspired me with your songs to learn violin, thank you so much, I love you, keep going you can do it!!!❤❤❤❤
Lindsey's phenomenal. She wasn't afraid to step into this violin dancing cinematic niche and now she rules the niche!
She's said, "It's easy to be the best at something if you're the only one doing it." I look forward to seeing other dancing violinists in the future.
Nicely done, Lindsey. Somehow, when I first heard the song, I was picturing Egypt. You continue to be amazing.
Aging like a fine wine!
B R A S I L 👌
Your editing and transitions never cease to amaze me! So inspiring to me! I want to visit Egypt now
Let it out girl!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻
You should write a song with Amy Lee where you have opposite vocals and instrumental. You sing, she plays piano vs she sings, you play violin...then merge it up.
Once again a masterpiece. Time always flies when I listen to your songs.
Not me thinking the 'evil twin' would be Phelba 😂 amazing video Lindsey, can't wait to see you on tour! ❤
I'm beyond happy to see Lindsey go so far in her career! She carved a path for herself and never looked back.
Im so amazed by her everyday when i grow up later in life i wanna be just like her
Not exactly sure what the point was with this, not sure if it was night vs day. But I got to say, the song is amazing. And the fact that you actually went to Egypt to film this is just even more amazing! Lindsay, your music has helped me through so much. An even now it's helping me through a big transformation, I want to thank you for your music. And I am looking forward to seeing you on July 31st in Clearwater ❤❤
Ps.
Absolutely beautiful!!! 🔥
Nice! I like how each character has her own style. Feel like this is a successor to Elements.
YESSSS i just had this thought!!! A lot of parallels with Elements!!
The pyramids are a fabulous and mythical site ! I came there and it is fantastic ! With this violinist it becomes exceptional ❤
This sounds like the mysteries of Egypt. Love it!
I'm thinking Cleopatra would enjoy it.
Cleopatra wasn't Egyptian
Mesmerizing my musical Soul with a Mystic Wonderment now on with the Entrancing Evil 🖤❤️🔥 Twin Performance ✨🌟✨it was Most Enchanting‼️‼️
I’m just happy to see that she can do her own vocals. I’m no expert, but she seems pretty good at switching between her head voice and her chest voice. If there are any actual experts here, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
Lindsey makes a more convincing Goth Girl than Jojo Siwa.
Not really?
@@goansichishigJojo puts too much effort in trying to be controversial. Too fake.
She ends up looking like a bigger buffoon than Honey Boo Boo. She kinda resembles her tbh 🤔
Lindsey is becoming a real trailblazer. She is taking the lead, creating new musical artistic interpretations, I enjoyed it emencely.
Потрясающие исполнение на фоне древних цивилизаций ❤❤❤🎉
The black outfit is pretty evil 💙💙✨it's giving
The top is so unique. Is it a breastplate? a carapace? (like a beetle!) Lindsey is so bleepin' inventive & clever. & cute!
Lindsey is awesome, and her videos are always impressive ❤️
Her vocals are amazing 😍😍😍
The title plus the cover picture for here is AMAZING ITS SO GOOD ❤️❤️
Hello Fellow Humans,
Lindsey Stirling has come so far.
0:53 UGH, SO CLEAN, SO GOOD, I LOVE IT
Evil twin is the best imaginable title for this I’m blown away by all of it ❤️❤️
He is truly someone who inspires me with his music. With love from Turkey.
I feel like this, divided. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I realized that the song love goes on and on with Emy Lee, the costumes are characteristic in the same way, maybe they are related. Thank you for such good art, it helps me understand these energies.❤☯️
Looking forward to this album. I ordered the gold vinyl signed just to put it in a glass case and display it
Клип вышел день назад, а ваш комментарий написан 8 дней назад??? ЧТО?!😮
Hello beautiful song and video 0:43
This is amazing with all the beautiful contrasts in rhythm and styling. A real moving piece that is truly memorable.
Lindsey Stirling is a LEGEND! ❤
She's fine
Also an excellent musician.

Lindsey Stirling Please This future video is also a great 15 year old gift answer me, I'm your fan I love your music. I'm the only girl in my school who likes it. I'm the only girl in school who has good taste in music. You're a great violinist. This future video will also be a great gift for my 15th birthday this month.😊😊😊
You should try to get to Iceland to produce a video with those fountains of lava as the backdrop....
That said, this is equisite! Such an experience of music, nature, and antiquity! 💜
As ever, I love her costume designs. They're so amazingly creative and evocative
I remember her beginnings even before her first album.. and her Zelda videos smashing pots.. she got so far.. ❤
The Final Fantasy Medley is still in my top 3.
Для меня,все равно остается лучшее это когда ты чуть не сдалась. Никогда не сдавайся! Ты своим творчеством заставляешь людей подыматся с колен!!!
A true full contact violinist. Brilliant
There is an unstated law that says there is only so much you can do while playing the violin. It amazes me that Ms. Stirling seems to break that law with every performance. Absolutely incredible
Those scenes of the Pyramids of Giza are simply breath-taking 😍.
So cool to see you make a video in Egypt! I love your new song!!
Let me put you in the position of saying, "I filmed a music video in freaking EGYPT." God, what a transformation from when she was filming in a Colorado ice sculpture.
Go away, you nasty bot. Here is the original comment you stole from in the hopes of getting hollow likes:

Imagine being able to say "I filmed a music video in freaking EGYPT." God she's come a long way from filming in an ice sculpture in Colorado.
There was the marriage of a bilionaire happening there, Lindsay was a featured singer, they probably worked out a way to arrange the permits. Win - Win.
I just love that trademark quick leg snap, like at 0:58. That's your thing Lindsey and it's so cool.
This song is so cool and good. I really love Lindsey Stirling she helps me calm down since high school is so stressful.
You can't tell me this was not Dune inspired. So amazing!😮❤
That's what I said. Mu adib
I do believe it too 😳
That transition for light to dark, love it!
