@@janekalmes ma'am if you don't have a problem with non English content, I might suggest you a few Indian ones.. They do have good quality subtitles. Paatal lok, family man, breathe.. All 3 seasons one. You might not relate to them, but the suspense is there. That being Said I'm have been an avid watcher of awesome western content. But I believe the names I've told u will do the justice. Namaste 🙏

    Welcome back, Jane! 🙂
As usual, pretty astute observations 🙂
I hadn't heard of The Terminal List, but I'm the kind of person who gets really peeved by this kind of nonsense in his mysteries and thrillers, so I'm happy to see this get some attention. Thanks 😊

@@janekalmes I think the whole point was just unrelenting revenge.
that and he simply must get through his list.
      I find it extremely satisfying.
I dont think adding any more consequences or repercussions was the point.
It reminded me of Bruce Lee's Game of Death. The protag just escalates through levels. Like a computer game I guess.
the start was the motivation (killing wife and family). Plus the added obstacle of the ever increasing brain tumor. that's the whole point of this kind of genre. Like The Punisher. it's not a normal drama/ mystery type thing.

Never heard of The Terminal List but I couldnt agree more with the points made, Jane. Especially making life too easy for your MC and uncertain morality. That last one is especially egregious... in any genre.

My parents watched the Terminal List, and I watched the last episode with them. I was unsure of what to make of it then since I didn’t watch the full show. But now I kind of feel interested in watching it myself just to witness the effects of these mistakes as a learning experience.

Hey Jane, I'm 12 years old and looking to write my first book and I was hoping to get some advice. My main character is compelling enough, but he does fall in one of the most popular character tropes- the 'stone cold and emotionless' man. I was wondering if you have any advice to make him more unique to my book and more compelling as well. Thanks for making your helpful clips and I am glad you are continuing to upload.

Hi, Lachie! Does your character have any social talents-unique things he brings to the table, which the reader can enjoy watching him deploy? Does your story force him to change and grow? (If not, this might be a helpful watch:
